Its an amazing drivers car with enough power to have fun and not get into trouble. It turns and brakes quickly, you always feel in complete control. Its very responsive and amazingly comfortable for long rides to Montreal from Toronto (and Im 63). Ive never felt claustrophobic with the top up. The radio could be better in my base model, but I rarely put it on for short distances----Im too busy shifting and having fun. After a year of driving, I now feel I need an S----Im ready for a bit more horsepower!

I like the look of the Boxster or the Cayman, but I am hesitant to purchase one because of the M96 engine problems with the IMS bearing and the RMS leaking. So far Im still looking at them. Looking for a S that has had the modifications done.

Porsche...there Is No Substitute — I love my 2006 Porsche Boxster. It has been a truly reliable and fun car to own over the past eight years. While I know Porsche fetches a higher price tag than most, it is ridiculous how much the new model is going for; in excess of $65k. It is just no longer reasonable to spend the money when there are now so many reliable and fully-loaded competitors.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: The handling and performance if amazing.

Cons: The price of the car is no longer reasonable with so many other makes including more options and engine performance.

Great Working Car — Once you ride in this car you will never want to drive any other car, the Top down is fun and easy at a click of a botton. The ride is smooth, engine performance is good, fuel economy on highway is good. easy to maintain

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Sporty looking car from Porsche.

Cons: None that I can tell

You Can Drive It Every Day Or Take It To The Track Without Voiding Your Warranty —

The car can be driven every day in confort and with ease through traffic, but when in open roads reaching pass 3,000 rpm the exhaust sound changes and it accelerates with ease to 6,500 rpm in each gear. This car makes you look for twisting roads and the long way to get anywhere. This is an absolute drivers car that never fights the driver and behaves entirely predictibly. The acceleration is not neck snapping, but it is very satisfying at 0 to 60 mph in 5.2 seconds, but more importantly when you get to a corner you can stop on a dime or more importantly you can come up to a turn an litteraly break just at the turn then you can power through the turn and exit at roughly twice the posted speed of any mountain road in California. I would have never done this with my previous Mustang with a supercharged V8. It would be absolutely scarry to accelarate through a turn. The build quality is excellent, interior and exterior trim is without rattles and they feel solid. The styling is pure Porsche, clean, simple, timeless. The top can be operated at slow speeds in 2nd gear. The cost of owning this car for 4 years has been less than the cost of owning a Honda Accord or Infiniti for the same miles and years. Two full synthetic oil changes, two brake fluid changes, one new battery and new rear tires. Tires is the most expensive cost of driving this car. If you drive it the way it begs to be driven you will spend money on tires, but you will be happy to spend the money because it will put a smile on your face each time you drive it. The fun starts the moment you wash it which you can do quickly and be on the road to your nearest mountain road diner or you local Costco (Two trunks). No matter your destination it simply will make you enjoy your drive.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: On road performance is second to none. Makes you look like a better driver than you are.

Cons: Cost, but when you consider the high level of engineering and design this car is priced right.
