Fast, Fast, Fast! — Loaded with power. Quite possibly one of the worse handling cars that I've ever driven. Great looking car. Sounds throaty and loaded with HP. I understand that the newest model Vipers handle much better. I'd consider only if this was going to be the third family (lol) car.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

    Pros: Power & Speed!

Cons: Handling, access & egress.  Too close to the road surface.

2006 Viper Srt — Overall I liked the car. Could use a little more insulation from the heat off the engine. Better have $2500 every 15,000 miles for tires. Expect to have your picture taken a least a 3 or 4 times a week. LOL

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Looks that kill, performance to back it up.

Cons: Heat from the engine, 6th gear, needed less camber.

2006 Dodge Viper Srt-10 — This is a quintessential supercar. I have always wanted one since I saw the first prototype at the Auto show in 1992. These cars are highly underated as most people think Ferrari or some other exotic is superior. This is a myth. This cars acceleration and handling is unbelievable. Its looks are second to none and I just get this awesome feeling whenever I see it or drive it. It gets lots of attn. and some people just cant believe it when they see it. They only make a limited production per year and the Viper name is well revered. I just love this car. This has been my dream come true.

    Pros: Where do I begin

Cons: Does not play well with others.  Shames any wannabe who thinks his car is "fast"

Raw Brute Force — I had an opportunity to drive one on a motor-cross and the acceleration was incredible. Handling was impressive as well. People criticize Viper for being a straight line car, but I thought it handled perfectly.

    Pros: Power and more power

    Cons: Cheap interior

2006 Dodge Viper Coupe — I just bought this car used last week with only 16,000 miles and have to say it's more than I ever hoped for. Everyone knows about the horsepower and torque, but the car is unbelievably comfortable to drive! I've driven it here in Dallas during 100+ days and have no issues with heat in the cabin. While the ride is stiff, it won't rattle your teeth loose and the looks are to die for. Men, women, kids... all love the car, give me thumbs up and want to ride in it. The only downside is every kid in a mustang or camaro wants to race. All I need to do is step on the gas and watch them disappear. **** 1 YEAR UPDATE **** I've now owned this car for one year. I still have no regrets. The Viper is reliable, comfortable, and still an awesome car to drive. I've driven it from DFW to Little Rock, AR and was comfortable the whole way. I've tracked it and can say it has greater capabilities than I do. I'm actually looking to buy another one shortly.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: The looks are great. It stands out everywhere

Cons: I have a couple of internal rattles that I need to track down.
