This Cross Country version of the V70 wagon earned its standing as a prime family car with its many standard safety features. All some people need to know is that it�¢ï¿½?�?s a Volvo �¢ï¿½?�? the company�¢ï¿½?�?s reputation is well founded. But just for the record, the list of protective attributes includes front air bags, side-curtain air bags, door beams, traction control, ABS, and a patented Whiplash Protection System. The AWD wagon is especially popular in the Northwest and Northeast U.S., where it is found in large numbers, for instance, in ski area parking lots. Owners of the 2005 XC70 generally heap compliments onto it for its looks, features, handling, and solid feeling. A few would have liked a bit more horsepower. There were a few complaints about reliability, but the overall vibe was one of smiling satisfaction.

Even though the 2005 Volvo XC70 is a sibling to the V70, it comes with an enhanced suspension and SUV-like characteristics that give it a sportier, more aggressive appearance with sure footing from the all-wheel drive. Drives well, parks easily, and comes with all the creature comforts in the cabin. Under the hood, it features a 208 horsepower 2.5-liter low-pressure turbocharged inline 5-cylinder with a 5-speed geartronic transmission as standard. The XC70 features seating capacity for up to five, as well as dual zone auto climate control, cruise control, keyless entry, power accessories, supple leather seating, and ABS. There is, perhaps, no better vehicle for a family of five on the road today.

I love my Volvo wagon because it's safe. I'm not the world's best driver, yet I don't worry about my kids getting hurt if we were in an accident. It gets decent gas mileage for an AWD car (18/23). There are never any rattles or noises, not even wind sound. The interior is luxurious, with walnut trim and glove leather seating. It is fun to drive, because it's always what I wanted for a family car. As my husband said, "You told me that this is your dream car." And, he was right.Jun 18, 2009

Great performance with 163 HP, very good acceleration and top speed.
But the engine, a 2.4 TD (with 5 cylinders) raise the costs of ownership... 7.8 gas liters for 100 km.
The braking system is very effective,proportioned to the technical characteristics.
High build quality for a plus safety.
luxurious and spacious interiors.
... in other words a great car.

My car stalls out or won't start. I have to wait a few minutes then it might start after a few tries. I have changed the maf sensor and fuel pump sensor. Any other suggestions on what I should check? Or what could be wrong? I had it plug up to a computer and it only read the maf and fuel pump sensor prior.
