It's Okay. — Accelerates quickly when need be, but braking is kinda iffy sometimes. handles well at moderate speeds. The only build problem it has is that the electronic sliding door likes to stop working, and the computer system goes crazy on occasion. It's a minivan, so it's ugly inside and out. about 15.5 mpg overall. I get free oil changes so idk about that. Fuel injectors need cleaning every once in a while. it's fun considering the fact that it's a minivan

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: AWD V6

Cons: MINIVAN

Looks And Works Great. — Very practical vehicle with lots of room and versatility. Dvd player nice to sit back and watch. Great visibilility and trailer package works great.Power sliding door comes in handy when your hands are full. Dark green color glows in the sunlight.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Lots of room.

Cons: Tends to "bing" uncontrolably.

Amazing. Jaw Dropping For Those Who Expect "minivan" Results. — Fun to drive, good for road trips with lots of people. FAST, sounds amazing!!! Very cheap to maintain, oil changes are easy and the van and parts hold up very strong! Definitely not what you see out of your average minivan!

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Fun, Easy to get used to, Spacious, More of an SUV

Cons: Gas Guzzling comes along with SUV style... 14MPG's city, about 25 on the hiway.

  • Would Buy
Handling Ranked 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT FWD worse.
"The Grand Caravan is far too instable and vibrant while driving"
Looks/Style Ranked 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT FWD worse.
"The Montana SV6 looks more like an SUV than a van. And more modern than the out dated design of the 05 Grand Caravan"
Front Seats Ranked 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT FWD worse.
"More comfortable and soft"
Back Seats Ranked 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT FWD better.
"The only thing I like about the Grand Caravan that the Montana never had was the fold-flat into the floor seats and the in-floor storage compartments"
Cargo Capacity Ranked 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT FWD worse.
"You can actually take the seats out of the Montana to make room instead of folding them into the floor."
Family Car Ranked 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT FWD worse.
"The rear entertainment system is far better than the Caravan, and it has more room in the back (aside from the Caravans nifty stow’n go storage feature)"
Value Ranked 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT FWD worse.
"The Grand Caravan is overpriced, your’re buying something that isnt worth what is said on the price tag. Whereas with the Montana, you get more for your money."
Would Buy Ranked 2005 Dodge Grand Caravan SXT FWD worse.
"Grand Caravan is a complete waste of money and rusts excessively quick. Especially on the side below the doors. Montana SV6 has this neat plastic band that runs the whole length of the van to prevent dirt, salt, water etc frim splashing on to the bottom of the doors where rust is common of the Grand Caravan."

Have a 2007 model, has been a good vehicle. The unknown is the underbody condition as sometimes rust takes its toll. Personally, with the 3.9 litre motor, its a workhorse with good fuel economy. Read More
