A Great Utility Vehicle, Why Did They Stop Making The Hybrid? — Both my wife and enjoy this car more than any other we have owned. We would purchase a new one if they still made the Escape hybrid. We have over 150,000 miles on this car and it is still going strong. UPDATE: We now have 200,000 miles on the Escape and just keeps running! However, we recently purchased a 2012 Prius Plug-In Hybrid and have been spoiled by the 75 mpg we get with that car. The Escape Hybrid's low 30 mpg pales in comparison. So the Escape doesn't get driven as much anymore. However it is still a great utility vehicle and we are reluctant to get rid of it until the wheels fall off.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Love everything about this car.

Cons: Ford doesn't make this hybrid model anymore

Great Little Suv — Ford Escape Hybrid AWD is a real nice family suv great for running errands around town and a terrific winter car in the snow. We use it to take our dogs to the park every day and they both fit in the back quite nicely. Seats fold down if you need more room for bigger items. Took a bunch of antique furniture to Ohio in it a year ago. Very comfortable for long drives prefer it to my Lexus.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Great all around car has performed very well and is a pleasure to drive.

Cons: I can never figure out how to get it to kick into full electric mode.

Saves Great On Gas In These Hard Times. — I think this car is a good family car. Runs good saves a lot on gas and you can see everything good as you drive. Has good trunk space for your shopping needs. I also love the color very much.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: It's a great car to save gas with.

Cons: Nothing I could tell .

Good Reliable Hybrid, Easy To Drive By hybridguy1

With additional sound deadening installed, the hybrid limited was pleasureable and relatively quiet to drive. It did not have a powerful engine but that is the compromise if you want good mpg. It had... Read More

Very Good By KTdesigner

Its a very nice car, and reliable. I would recommend it if you're looking for a hybrid SUV. It doesn't have the "collectors" appeal (like a Jeep Wrangler say) but for a commuter car its very good. The... Read More
