This car is a beast. Toss snow tires on it, and winters in Upstate NY seemed like nothing. Toss nice summer tires on it, and youll have a blast. The only downside is the body roll with the stock suspension system, that is only noticed if you are really pushing the car. I mean taking on ramps at 65 mph or higher. If your good with the clutch and get a feel for it, just skip forth gear. It has the power, and with a good shift, youll be fine. The little bit of power loss vastly outweighs the extra shift time. If doing mods, highly highly suggest a light weight flywheel and a stage 2 clutch. Keep an eye on the engine and the transmission mounts if you start upgrading!

Fun, Zippy, And Fits Every Where — I've only owned VW's all my life. 04 Gti was my very first car when I got my license it was automatic tho. 10 yrs later I had an opportunity to get one in a 5 speed also in mint condition for a GREAT deal; deal was so good I bought it just to re-flip it. Well 6 months and 5k miles later I was offered double what I paid for it and I refu the offer. This is just a Super fun, never let you down vehicle.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Everything about the car is just great!

Cons: Only 2 Door's

Love At First Sight.... Love Isn't Always Everything! — car was great for the first few years. now every where i turn more problems pop up. i no longer can afford to keep it going since i now need a new transmission...... i put mix 1 on her and it will be hard to say goodbye!

Pros: speed

Cons: repairs way to expensive.

Elegant — This is the nicest car I've owned and I have owned plenty of American as well as foreign cars. It's nice to have every amenity possible including a cold weather package that included heated leather seat, heated mirrors, and head washer nozzles. The tilting & telescopic steering along with the fully adjustable seats make this car fit like a glove. The premium stereo is up there with high-end luxury models as well as the overall performance. The 200 h.p. VR6 runs perfect and with the paired smooth shifting 6-speed transmission, the drive is anything but dull. Congrats to making an affordable autobahn bred sports car obtainable by the working class.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Great car, fast when you need it to be, reliable, good looking, economic and fun.

Cons: manual transmission makes it a car that not everyone can drive these days.

21 Psi On A Stock K03s — fast fast fast. Revo software is great, besides coil failures this is one of the best cars I've driven in the past few years. I can make a fool out of a V-8, and I didn't even need a screw driver to improve it.

Mighty Gti — Preformance, this car is just a monster considering it is a 4 cylinder engine.. Mostly due to the turbo's work but still.. It's economic, fast and will whip just about anything you can see. Build quality, German. that's all i have to say. Appearance, German Quality, sharp appearance. Upkeep, economic gas mileage. Fun factor, Whippin' and taking names.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Boom for your buck.

Cons: four cylinder.

Awesome Euro Hatch — i like everything about this car the turbo is awesome and the inetior is great and a big boot and gets good mileage gets me from point A to B in a fun way it is just a blast to drive and make u happy when doing so

Its A Volkswagen... Screams Quality... Vr5 Scream Power And 6 Speed Hot Hatch Screams Fun! — I have only had this car (legally) on the road for a very short time (2 weeks) but it has been the love of my life! A 6 speed VR6 is the most fun to drive. Lots of torque when u need it!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: 6 Speed VR5 a BLAST to drive!!!

Cons: I doesn't like curbs to well :(

Overall Recommended. — fun to drive with as a manual transmission, but slow to pick up speed, and noisy for highway traveling. Loads of under steer, and unnecessarily expensive to insure. The build quality is excellent however, and it sounds sweeet with a subwoffer installed. no sheet metal rattles like it does on Dodges or on Fords.

Pros: reliable and small

Cons: slow, front wheel drive, and a HUGE throw in the clutch pedal.

Awsome Performance If You Dont Want Other People To Know — good performance and lots of mods. never had any issues with quality appearance- not the prettiest car ever but very low key and good for a hatchback great gas mileage and almost no maintenance awsome to drive. its a canyon killer
