What owners say
"The overall feeling about the 2004 Chevrolet Cavalier is positive, especially as a reliable and economical first car. Drivers appreciated its excellent gas mileage, decent handling, and fun driving experience. However, many mentioned that the interior quality is lacking and the car could use more power, especially during acceleration. Despite these drawbacks, many owners found it to be a solid choice for commuting and daily use."
Great value! Cavaliers last a long time and I look forward to it!
October 26, 2025Well I haven't driven a stock LS sport, but i do like the styling of the factory body kit, its tastefully done. The suspension consists of Koni yellow adjustable struts, Road magnet springs, poly bushings all around, front stb.....it handles very well for a daily driver and the ride is tolerable. The motor pulls hard and gets good milage to boot.
March 19, 2008I really don't dislike anything about my car. I wish it had less miles on it than it does but that's about it. It has almost 170,000. But I've taken very good care of it and it runs very smooth and quiet.

April 27, 2015For as long as i've had this car i've put very little money into it compared to all of my other vehicles. as for the MPG its fairly decent at 28-29 City, 34-36 Highway. For it only being a baseline model it leaves room for a lot more improvements to be done to it. I never would have thought that i would enjoy driving around in a cavalier but it is a very smooth ride.
February 15, 2011It never goes wrong and keeps on going. Faster then most in its category. Fits 3 people and 3 snowboards inside without using the trunk. Great at driving in snow and doesn't cost a lot on gas. Worth the money i paid.
February 4, 2010Love this thing. It's basically my little tank. Looks a little sporty too! Take it anywhere, and easy on fuel, fun and easy to drive and can perform quick and abrasive maneuvers with ease. Awesome pick up, wicked bottom end power!!!!!!!
November 9, 2009This car is great on gas, and also is very reliable. There is nothing that i have to say about it that is negative. It handles very nice on snow and ice as well as wet roads! Perfect family, and commuter car.
July 28, 2014I dislike the handling, power, looks, and overall performance. It gets my family and I to point A to point B so in that aspect, I cannot complain. When you try to rev the engine it seems as though the engine is straining without any results. Poor performance and even poorer craftsmanship. Do not buy this car.
March 17, 2014I loved this car, I bought it in early 2005 and it was everything its supposed to. it drove easily and quietly, comfortable front and back seats, ac Works great, it picks up speed quite fast. I raced a standard nissan and lost it in my rear view. it has the confort of a famiily car but the style of a sports car. loved the way the dash and center consol just wrap perfectly, made for driver confort. it was very easy to clean as stains would come off easy. nothing wrong with it when i owned it. loved it and still wish to own another 2004 cavalier.
October 15, 2013All in all its a good car, but my car is the lowest base model available and its frustrating to me. I thought it was a great car when I purchased it, but the longer I drive it, the more i realize how little there is to this car.
