I have a 2003 Impreza Outback Sport that I bought a few years ago. It only has 77,000 miles on it now. Today the Check Engine light came on, but its still running fine. Any ideas? Oh I love my subaru. vs2003 Honda CR-V

I Have Recommended A Subaru To Pretty Much Everyone I Know. — Performance is amazing for a 4 cylinder non turbo car. Blown head gasket at around 120xxx miles. Looks like a champ in and out. Not the best on gas-about 18 with me pushing it most of the time and about 24 hwy. This car is sooo much fun to drive. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: It's a Subaru RS. Cons: MPG. |

Nice Car But If You Can Get The Sti Get That Instead — overall a nice car reliable. but if you want maximum performance from the car it needs work done. better of getting a wrx or even better sti. great for a p plater. awd is great because you can drop the clutch at any rev in the dry and you get no wheel spin Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: awd. handling Cons: no performance .turbo diesel could keep up with it from the lights |

Rs — This is a excellent car for a DD. I got this car a couple years ago because I wanted a reliable AWD car that didn't make my insurance go thru the roof. This car is a blast to drive and I have had a lot of fun with it even though it doesn't have the power of a WRX or STi. This car has seen a few ice races and rallyx but is now retired since I got the Justy. Pros: AWD, Reliable, easy to work on Cons: Auto tranny, could use more power |

My Subbie — Toasted the engine after 3 years, faulty gasket. Replced it with a used engine and it's been fine since. I'll chalk the bad engine up to my bad luck. It's been my winter car for a few years now and I wouldn't want it any other way. Pros: Traction, control and acceleration in snow. Cons: A little noisy, especially in the cold. |

Subaru Impreza Rs — Performance is what you'd expect for an entry level Subaru, great AWD traction and handling, but pickup is not the best. After 60k miles, no problems to report. The appearance isn't all that and the interior is fairly standard, but certainly comfortable. Clothe seats are great! Mileage is approx. 23.6 mpg (combination of city and highway) The car is easy to work on yourself. I've been able to do all the fluids, oil and gas filter, and even the spark plugs are easy to get to. Pros: Great car for the money! AWD is fantastic. Cons: fuel efficiency could be better |

Subaru Impreza 1.6 Ts — 1.6 litre engine.. 95 bhp from stock superb handling despite slow acceleration its all about sub's AWD and independent suspensions one has to be very gentle with the gearbox reliable in general good fun relatively to the small size engine drinks quite a lot of petrol though spare parts available everywhere whereas good mechanics are quite limited Pros: good looking, fun, beautiful handling Cons: slow acceleration and disapointing top speed |

My Rs — My car is BOSS!!! It has the WRX wing on the back and the exterior is in good shape. I got it for $10k after taxes and everything and it only had 54k miles on it. Plus it had new tires, new brakes, and new rotors. It's not turbo-charged but with gas prices the way they are, I'm not complaining. Pros: Its fast, its blue, and the windows are black! Cons: It draws too much attention from the cops :-P |

Best Car I've Ever Owned And I'm Getting A New One As Soon As Possible! — Cornered like a dream, all-wheel drive take the abuse like a champ. Acceleration gets you from point A to point B quite effectively. The short shifter gives you great response time. Low center of gravity handles just as good. Unfortunately I crashed the car at 140MPH coming home from being fired. Note, do not drive 140MPH thru rush hour traffic when in a state of blinding rage! But, it turned out to be a good thing so i guess everything happens for a reason. Pros: Everything was a pro, there was nothing i didn't like about the car. Cons: Nothing there were no cons, there was nothing i didn't like about the car. |
