They Should Have Changed Its Back End It Looks Like A Space Ship — with mod muffler mod intake its slow but when upgrade the sound system is a A+ for me sounds like a Subaru and the handling is to die for. its when a senser goes out man its slow all well liove hate relationship i give this car 81 of 100

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: no matter what the car looks like that motor wont give up

Cons: slow

...... — I've had this kia for over 12 years and only have 35000 miles on it, not joking, and it's so far very reliable. It's easy to park, and it's GREAT on fuel. However, I don't feel very safe and the engine is rather unrefined and works hard to pull the car around. I hope this will last till the next 12 years.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: Reliable transportation, easy to 'park, great fuel economy

Cons: Cheap set of wheels, doors too light, unrefined 1.3 4 cylinder, hard plastic inside, don't feel really safe, red paint job

Makes A Great Rental — performance is O.K, great handling, looks ugly in the inside and out, very light, the price is cheap and the maintenance cost is cheap,I've been told it has a great fuel economy, it's fun to drive but not to own.

Pros: i love how it handles on the road

Cons: the appearance sucks

Its A Kia But Its The Best Thing And The Next Thing I Would Buy Again — performance- brakes excellent, slow on acceleration. consistent with times. handling- very good... build quality- ij havent had to fix anything on this, except the usual things oil change tires... i love driving my car its awesome great on gas and its good around town.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: its compact but still roomy enough to have more than two people in it

Cons: people say its a pos because its a kia

Basic But Gd — nica car, very economical and basic performance.Just read other reports and agree what a great little value car a Rio is. A lot of so called road tests are very biased against Kia - most people can’t afford the expensive cars Clarkson crows over so as a Kia owner I would advise anyone to go and make their own mind up you wont be disappointed. The Magentis is a great value for the money car as well second-hand.

Primary Use: Family transportation

Pros: economical

2001 Kia Rio — I have a 2001 Kia Rio; it would be a great little car if it worked properly. It lacks power on take off but once you get going it works great. I'm not really keen on the color of the car but I'm very please with the aerodynamics. It's small body makes it easy on gas and it handles very well, even in the winter months.

Pros: Affordable car!

Cons: Lack of power.

Good For Learners, Everything You'd Expect From A Car In Its Price Range. — Looks infinitely better with Tint, Rear Spoiler, Alloy Wheels and Xenon Lights. Plastic interior, things rattle sometimes. And can't expect too much performance from a car that cost $16000 (AUS).

Pros: Cheap, Low Running Cost, Good for learner drivers

Cons: It has attributes of $16000 (AUS) car.
Slow down for corners.

Perfect Student Car. — Nasty Color the Kia Rio was bright yellow, cheap, and reliable. I drove him from TX to NY and back with zero trouble. Cold A/C in the summer, warm heater in the winter, and a fantastic warranty. Kias are not "sexy." But having money leftover after making your payments is sexy.

Pros: Cheap, reliable, paid off

Cons: I felt a little silly driving my bright yellow college car when I turned 30, so I traded him in. With gas prices up, I regret my decision sometimes.

Good Car But When It Breaks Down....it's A Nightmare!! — When the car is running...it runs great. When it breaks down...it's a nightmare!!

Owner for 1 years, 1 months

Miles Driven per Year:1,500

Cons: Repairs are too pricey. You can't find parts at your local parts store. EVERYTHING is a "special order"  Too much hassle.
