The 2001 Wrangler is available in three models: SE, Sport, and Sahara.
Again and again, Jeep Wrangler owners mention how much fun driving the Jeep Wrangler is. They also like how it looks, its compactness, and its sturdiness. Some owners dislike how hard it is for some people to get in and out of; the lack of cargo space; and the noisy (esp. with the soft top off) engine.

Jeep is nice inside/out, strong straight 6, 35"Swampers can climb and go anywhere.
Looks good and performs even better. MPG are not good due to the huge tires. I have a Skyjacker stabilizer on order and will install as son as it comes in. This should help with handing and drift issues.Dec 10, 2014

Very reliable and "fun" vehicle. Great off-road capabilities, and not-too-bad on-road. Not really suited to more than two people, other than in a pinch. (And I do mean "pinch" if you're in the back seat.) Overall, the Wrangler 2-door is somewhat a "specialty" vehicle. Superb off-road capabilities, OK on-road. Ride and handling should be considered the price you're paying for the excellent off-road capabilities. The I4 is a somewhat maligned engine, but in my ever-so-humble opinion, it's a good choice. Very reliable and the factory gearing used with the 4-cyl I4 makes this version of the Wrangler extremely capable off-road. Dec 15, 2013

I like everything about this jeep, its just not well suited for my family of 6. It was very fun to be able to take the top down on a nice day and be able to ride around. The kids did enjoy it but we had to take two vehicles to get where we were going when we would take it.Aug 09, 2013

I think this is a good reliable car that can be fun both on and off road. Lots of personal tweaks and a removable top make this fun to drive in the summer, to the beach or off-roading. Very easy to maintain.Jul 09, 2013

The Jeep has been the best car I have ever owned. It is versatile sporty and fun. It is comfortable to drive and repair costs were minimal. There are no blind spots since you are sitting high up and have a large rear side window. It has space and gas mileage issues but thats not what Jeeps are for. They are meant to plow through snow and 2 months later roll right up to the sand at the beach. Jun 28, 2013

I will miss the Jeep "wave"... the tradition of waving to other Jeep owners as we pass on the road. Not only did the car rank high on fun, but the idea of having other jeep owner "friends" was a plus.Jan 05, 2013

Acceleration at higher speeds is a little lacking, as is power on steep climbs. And
since it's a mini SUV, cargo space is pretty limited. Otherwise, performace for me is
great. The combination of off-road vehicle, convertible and something fun to drive

had my trials with the jeep but the fun factor is awsome, the jeep is small but has awsome amount of power in a such a little package. Makes it very fun to drive on or off road. i prefer off roadingOct 27, 2009

It has plenty of punch on the road or off in the mud, and handles very well on the highway, even in the wind and rain. Never a problem with it, and have only had to rotate the tires besides change oil and gas it up. It looks great and is lots of fun. In the summer I take the top down and the doors off. Best convertible I've ever owned. Once again a vehicle that was cheap to title and license and is good on gasSep 22, 2009

Performance - 4.0L street eater and its loud, love it!!!
Build Quality - Workmanship is good, but it has alot of mods
Appearance - Got alot of extras on it, lift kits bigger wheels
Cost of Ownership - mileage is not good but I didnt buy it for mileage

It will go down most trails.. It has plenty of power when you need to get going and it is fun to drive around with the top and doors off with the music blairing... It isn't great on gas but what SUV is.Jul 11, 2009

the jeep wrangler is an amazing vehicale it has the best offroad capabilites of any vehicle and there are performance after market products like u wouldnt belive they are easy to work on and a bast the drive and you can remove the top and doors

I love my jeep, I had to make a few repairs but thats just because the dealer lied to me. Its great having both a hard and soft tops. Its great in the snow, hardly used the 4wd and I live in Mass so we got a lot of snow storms.It gets a little scary on the high way because of the wind.May 09, 2009

Really nice truck love it. i live in massachusetts and i only have the soft top and its not cold at all durring the winter. awsome 4x4 syatem in it never got stuck in the snow. its also really good for off roading cuz of the skids so i would have to say all around awsome vechicle.Mar 03, 2009

Absolutely my favorite vehicle! The ONLY reason we traded it in is because our boys were getting older and didn't fit in the backseat very well. SO fun to drive, especially in the summer. Didn't get very good gas mileage, but who cars - it's a jeep! No problems with it ever. Dealership that we traded it to, sold it in less than 2 weeks!Nov 16, 2008

A jeep is amazing..you can use it to tow your boat, drive in the winter with 4x4 on , go offroad, top off in the summer to the beach, bring the dogs, great for camping, good for vision, high off the road, add lots of cools tuff to it, and the 4 banger is good on gas, and they look nice.

My car is an eye stopper. Soft top, cd stacker. needs a little work as i want to do it up with chrome and big 32 tyres. Its one that when you travel down the beach everyone stares at it. It can perform anywhere, especially on the beach it handles very well. i have heaps of fun driving it around. Aug 08, 2008

This is a Jeep. It's not a car, atruck or an SUV. It's not a mini-van. You wont get a smooth ride. It has road noise. But's still the coolest vehicle on the planet!Jul 11, 2008

I once did a 180 degrees on the 101 going South bound, avoiding a car that suddenly changed lane in front o fme and braked. The Jeep Wrangler made the 180 degrees and across the 5 lane freeway, unturned (thank God!). I must say, who ever say that Wranglers are unsafe and easily turn-over has been proven wrong, at least on that day.May 08, 2008

- Beasty but playfully adventurous
- Stable but slides wen cornering in the wet
- Cant do long dist. at >130km/h but excellent accelerator response on lower gears
- Cool in the summer breeze and insulates more than u'd believe in winter
- Excessive fuel consumption (maybe its just my driving?) ~$80 a tank -> New models'll
give ~400km?? not sure about the 3.8Ls though.
ALL IN ALL, WOULDNT TRADE IT FOR ANYOTHER!
