Boughtfrommybrother — Thought it would last a couple of years, but it just keeps on ticking! 208,000 miles and still going strong. It spent its first 8 years in Florida rust free and now now lives in chilly upstate New York. Significant repairs were an intake manifold gasket replacement at 180,000 miles and it has used 2 alternators.

Pros: Reliability

Cons: Needs center arm rest, power windows and backup camera

Great Truck, Can Be Used For Work Or Play. — I've had this truck 7 years, and it has never been in the shop for anything major. This truck is very reliable, it will go anywhere that you're willing to take it, and you don't have to worry about it breaking down. The driver door has started to drop. It makes a clicking sound when opening and closing. The paint has started fading and chipping, although a new paint job would rectify this.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: low cost maintenance, easy handling, decent gas mileage, extremely durable and reliable

Cons: does not have great fuel economy, paint starting to chip, non-power windows/locks

Been A Great Truck — Has been all that I would want in a truck and would recommend to friends and family. Ride is comfortable and has had no major issues for the eleven years I have owned the truck. Wish the new Chevy's had the space of the fords in the back seat

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Reliable and smooth

Cons: Interior noise  and the wheel well rust

Reliable And Fun. — This truck was my first truck and it lasted me a great deal of time. I was reckless at that young age and I repeatedly put the truck through misuse and abuse - I jumped railroad tracks, drifted around town, did burnouts, and the other usual kid stuff. However, even when lesser trucks would have quit, my truck just kept going. Overall you get more than what you pay for with this truck and I was impressed with its dependability.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: The entire truck has gone through so much abuse and still refuses to die.  This is proof of the quality of construction of the truck.  You get all of that rugged endurance for only a relatively small amount of money, too.

Cons: I've noticed the frame is twisting and bending quite rapidly and is noticeable most in between the cab and the bed.  The gas mileage on the V6 engine is 14 miles per gallon, which can make driving expensive.

I Love This Truck It Has Always Been Good To Me Chevy All The Way. — I love this truck it is my first vehicle and i have no intention of parting with it. The performance is good of course it could be better it is only a v6, but it is good on gas and gets up and goes when i need it to. It gets about 15 city 20 hwy. The trans feels nice and solid without feeling stiff and the clutch always gives plenty of feedback and is heavy without making me think im driving a tractor. This truck is definitely a ton of fun to drive.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: manual, good mpg,fun spunky, doesent mind being thrown sideways :P

Cons: could be better on power, seats do get uncomfortable on long trips (need more lumbar support),
