Overall A Great Car! — I have really enjoyed this car. I had a corvette prior to this and was a bit spoiled with that, but this is probably a close second to that one. (The only reason the corvette wins is because it is faster.) Otherwise, though, the Porsche Boxter is really a great car and I get a lot of compliments on it.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: This car is a lot of fun.  It's fast, sporty and great for the carefree summer days when you can drop the top.

Cons: Not very many cons to speak of other than the fact that it is small...this is to be expected with a sports car, though!

A Good One To Begin With Porsche — Performance - acceleration, handling, max. speed Build quality - nearly no repairs Appearance - both interior and exterior styling Cost of Ownership - not so expensive (tax ok, insurance ok, 22 MPG, maintenance a little bit expensive) Fun factor - extremely fun car! You really can enjoy it!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

    Pros: Performance

    Cons: Stability

1998 Porsche Boxster 2.7 — Best handling road car I have ever driven, and that includes some exotic supercars. The 3.2S has performance, perfect balance, perfect feel and handling. The build and materials quality was a little suspect in earlier models, but this is unbeatable for the money. Blows the Z3 / Z4 and SLK into the weeds.

Pros: Best handling car bar none

Cons: Suspect image and build quality for earlier cars

Zoom Zoom — If you can get by with two seats and 2 smallish trunks... you should get one! Fast, fun, and not as expensive as people assume.

    Pros: What's not to love?

    Cons: I don't own her anymore :(

Great Looking Car, Fun To Drive — Have owned the car for 10 years now, very reliable, built well, easy to maintain, does not hurt to fill up a tank. Too small of a car if you are over 6'1", hard to adjust the seat if you are too tall. Good cargo capacity with front and rear truck, easy to manage on the highway and around curves- it handles well.

    Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Reliable, affordable to maintain, easy to drive, good fuel economy, great style, easy top to remove, great option to add a hardtop for the Fall,Spring months.

Cons: No cup holders, model did not come with hid lights, can't store golf clubs

Great Handling Sports Car! Great On Gas...hate To Give It Up! — Not much, other than the OEM parts can get expensive. Handles great like a road course car should. Great on gas 330 miles on 13 gallons! Go up tp 60 mph in second gear. Two trunks good for golf clubs in back and suitcases in front. Mid engine weight back wheels well!

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Handles great like a road course car should. Great on gas 330 miles on 13 gallons! Go up tp 60 mph in second gear. Two trunks good for golf clubs in back and suitcases in front. Mid engine weight back wheels well!

Cons: Very tight for engine work. well engineered, but the more engineered...the more things need to be maintained.
