I have a 1998 boxster and was wondering just how important it is to replace the Intermediate Shaft Bearing, I just turned a 100,000 miles and want to keep my baby safe,I have read its only 1-2 percent and read it needs to be chaged to a upgrade please help me out on this costly upgrade Thank You for your time. I was able to put voltage at the fuse box, the dashboard came on but the trunk or hood levers did nothing
any big cost down the road for maintanance? timing belt, water pump anything along those lines that go bad at a certain mileage? expensive up keep?
while replacing the spoiler deployment mechanism on my 1998 boxster I forgot to prop up the trunk. When I removed the old unit and put it aside a gust of wind closed the trunk. Since there's no actuator attached it cannot be opened electronically. Are Porsche engineers that stupid that they could not foresee such an issue and provide an emergency trunk release (like there is for the hood) cable for such instances? I can see this happening if ever the actuator failed. How does one access the trunk on a boxster with no electricity?
So today I thought I could drive my Porsche 98 boxster in the snow with now problem, I didn't even make it off my road finding myself sliding into a bank, I'm going to have to get a new front fender, but I noticed light brown syrupy liquid dripping right behind where the radiator sits. It stopped and only leaked a little but I have no clue what to do. I'm not sure to drive it or not or what the fluid was for or how to replace it please helpppp.
