I love this car. It's amazingly fun to drive, especially considering it's my first stick! Wouldn't trade this car for anything -- I'll use it til it gives up on me! 90k miles roughly, drives like new. I'd recommend this car to anyone: commuters, occasional drivers, or the type who likes to get up in the mountains/beach for a day of play.Jul 29, 2013

I took it to 225,000 miles before it was totaled in 2012. I should have gotten another 2 years (18 years of service life) out of it before the body rust would be beyond repair. The windshield could not be simply replaced due to body rust. Rear quarter panels were showing rust bubbles. I was averaging 24MPG in a fairly mountainous zone. At 212,000 the transmission seals needed to be replaced. The oil leaked out and I was lucky to catch it before I burned out the transmission.Sep 23, 2012

subaru turbo flat 4 rumble the best the wrx is far beter than the turb it is all most on par as the sti wrx the worst part no the best part is the vf 22 turbo u have to drive it hard then you have whell spin on damp roads when quick changeMar 21, 2012

Great all around car and carrying stuff. I loved its handling in the snow on trips up to the slopes. Great on gas and a bast to drive! No maintenance problems at all besides routine and super super reliable! Appearance is not too bad for a Wagon. Looks more like a hatchback with the tapered back end. Jan 11, 2012

I love my Subaru - never had a mechanical problem. No repairs needed, great to drive highway or offroad. It's a little underpowered but gets the job done. I would buy another in a hot second and recommend it to anyone.Jan 27, 2011

it's 115 horses acceleration is 7 sec 0-60. braking is 5 sec from 60-0 if u gear down. handling is exellent it has a good grip on tarmack and gravel. it has not needed mutch repairs. only 2 repairs on it sence i got it that was brakes and mass air flow sensor no squeeks or rattles. it's a good looker both inside and out side. he goes 420 km on a 45 litre tank. 12 ltr 100km. maintanace is good on it like i sayd i work on it my self. this car is fun to drive it goes sideways in snow and i like going sideways :) Jun 30, 2010

Performance on this car was very good handled like it was on rails also very nice to drive. Interior was a bit tacky but who cares! The seats were brilliant they held me in place going round bends, the standard brakes are a bit of a let down very thirsty on petrol but also very reliable i had it 3 years and had no problems even though i drove it very hard.May 05, 2010

Awesome price/performance, only big expenses on petrol. Very sensitive driving, very stabile on turns, very good construction of suspension, most comfortable seats i have ever sit in. Overall 9 of 10 just for fuel consumption and green color :))) Fast wagon :) 240hp/290Nm 0-60 in ~6s.Nov 17, 2009

Tool not a trophy, Fun, reliable, sporty, versatile. It's a tank. No matter who own's one, it seems to fit. Many mod options, and almost all subaru parts are inter changable. My next will be a pre 1996 so that i may motor swap without serious comp hassle.Jun 25, 2009

good handling in all weather conditions, good hight for off road driving. the car is a blast to drive once you get used to it.... which only takes about two days. build quality is that of older Chevys, it is a very sturdy car that can take a beating. the parts can get a little pricey though. the car is very fuel efficient, even with no oxygen sensor you can still get 20 mpg. exterior is very unqiue and attractive.... interior is kinda plain though. the rear hatch rattles around 80mph.Jun 15, 2009

the performance of the Subaru Impreza 2.0 is surprisingly good. it is very light (1160 kg) so you get from 0 - 100 kph (0 - 62 mph) in 8.7 seconds. That is quicker than a standard Porsche Cayenne. the build quality is the best. only regular maintainence required (brakepads etc.) but it is getting rusty. That is more to do with the icelandic winters and salt an the streats though. Appearance is allright. Better than previous subarus but its not fab. there is gray plastic and its not desperatly pretty. but i like it. Cost of ownership is just a bit more than a honda civic actually. it does about 12.0 l/100km (dno mpg) maintenance is just the same as every other car in this range. Fun Factor: this car has a big fun factor. its 4wd which is great for a car this small. its epic fun in snow (iceland... you know) it handles well and is just an exelent good little car.May 09, 2009

My impreza is running 305bhp with 305lbft of torque. i love the sound of the flat 4 engine though the 3" exhaust. My scooby handles well and does between 18 and 28 mpg which isn't bad for a tuned scooby.Jan 04, 2009

Nice car all round! Unfortunately only has dogy original gold mags which may well have to go sometime in near future. Neat an dcomfortable throughout, and nothing beats the exhaust of a Scooby! Not awesome on fuel but suitable for running about. Biggest downfall is power... comparing this to a WRX is like comparing the tortoise and the hair!Aug 21, 2008

I love my car in every way possible The only downfall I've seen in my 5 years of owning it is the gas mileage. It gets a whopping 24-26 miles to the gallon city, which isn't too bad, but its not a Toyota Prius with 40 miles to the gallon. :-PJun 19, 2008

This car is what gave the late Colin McRae his Legendary status. Proven in the WRC as one of the big guns to take on Mitsubishi back in the 90's. The car is really for someone who is looking into Performance modifications. If you've got the cash then you'd be able to make this car beat alot of the monsters out there.May 23, 2008

Using the same platform, suspension, and drivetrain layout as the 1995 World Rally champion, it was the closest thing to a street legal rally car you could buy in 1997. With all wheel drive and Subaru reliability there's not much to say other than it was fun to drive. At the time a 2.2 L 137 HP flat four was all that was available. Amazing how much more hp they get out of basically the same engine only a few years later.Mar 15, 2008

decent four wheel drive car with diff control so adjustable , subaru sti import version of the p1 wouldnt change it for the world , also had water spray which adds extra boost rates at 320 brake .... fast and loads of fun Dec 31, 2007
