Good Truck - Not So Bad! — Gas mileage is terrible. Power and take great when i first got the truck. I was almost 3 years old. Overall good truck, power is great. Good looking truck. Gratefully this truck has served me well. General wear and tear is normal. Towing package is good. I like the fact that it has 4 wheel drive selector with different options. The truck is outdated, as there are newer models with so many more options. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Overall good truck, power is great. Good looking truck. Gratefully this truck has served me well. General wear and tear is normal.
Cons:
-Hood doesn't pop up when i engage release lever. |

I'd Recommend This Vehicle To Anyone — Performance : 4.3L V6 could use upgrading. It is seriously lacking in power and must downshift to make a hill. However for the motor itself has sufficient power if put in a smaller truck. Build Quality : Very good quality, next to no rust which is good considering its age. The truck has required little repairs outside of its general maintenance. Appearance : A very sharp looking truck both inside and out. I have personally redone the interior in black and silver adding the shine of chrome accents. The exterior has Aftermarket bumpers, hood, toneau cover and exhaust. This truck turns heads everywhere. Cost of Ownership : The truck, having a V6, is very good on gas and requires little if any maintenance. Fun Factor : I enjoy driving this truck. It is very fun aswell as cool to bomb around in. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Its a great all around vehicle Cons: Still a full size pick-up with a mid size motor |

Beast — This truck has been awesome. All except the a/c going on the frits and the leekey valve, even with the valve it has plenty of power. It is also a blast to drive, with its four wheel capibilites. This truck is a Beast. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: 5.7 liter V8 = lots of power :D Cons: Gas mileage! |

Good Truck — performance is wonderful no trouble to turn the tires over :P she also hauled one of the bigger kaboda escavators with ease. watch the cab corners cause they rust very easily! no problems with it except for regular metanace things (breaks tires etc) i must say this truck is fun and powerful even tho that it is the model with the smallest v8 avaliable Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.) Pros: dependable / smooth ride Cons: likes to drink the gas when driven hard |

Sierra — Acceleration is great. Lots of Power! Never had to do any major work to it. Very dependable. Very good look to the truck. If only it had a nicer grill and headlight setup. This is one of the funnest trucks that I have ever driven. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Power Cons: Body Rust |

Good Solid And Fun To Drive — I love this truck. It has taken every beating i can throw at it and then some. I did get lucky and find one of the Dixie Custom Conversion trucks. It comes with a few added conveniences but overall it is the same truck. Z71 package is awesome. Pros: can you say Z71 Cons: gas |

At First Reluctant. — I didn't like the though of owning a full sized truck, but I needed it for the utility factor. It's not fun to jump in and run errands around town, but it is great to crank up the tunes, driving 70 into the city to haul stuff home from Fleet Farm and Menards. For camping and fishing, it can't be beat. Unexpectedly, I get 17 to 19 MPG. I do wish it was closer to 30. Pros: 350 V8 power Cons: Drab to look at. Low quality interior. Seats rock back and forth just like every Chevy/GMC I've rid in. |

This Thing Is A Beast! — Performance - This truck is fast! The 350 small block is extremely responsive and NEVER bogs down. Passing at highway speeds is effortless! All 5 gears work like new. It breaks well, but breaks are getting replaced within a week, as well as the shocks. It handles amazingly! Steering is so tight, you can turn on a dime. Build - For a 97 this truck is solid! Only some frame rust is all it has, absolutely NO body rust whatsoever, which is outstanding. Shocks are worn a little, and so are the breaks, but they are all original are are being replaces within a week. Frame is currently being undercoated with POR 15. No squeaks or rattles, just the nice sound of the throaty exhaust which i love! Appearance - I cannot get over how well this truck was kept. The body is mint except for a small dent on the hood from a broken fan belt and a small one on the tailgate. This truck looks so sharp! color really fits its style . Its a sport truck and has a mono body paint job. It also has the Chevy 454 rims. Cost - it gets 20 on the highway which is outstanding for full size truck with a 350! But with the rising gas prices, it can be costly. Maintenance is next to nothing, just a bath once in a while. Fun Factor - This truck is so fun to drive. The 5 speed manual does burnouts in 4 of the 5 gears! I just love going cruising in this truck. The stock exhaust sounds so good! It really grabs peoples attention when you drive by. I would absolutely recommend this truck to anyone! Pros: Everything! Cons: too bad its 2 whell drive, and thats it. Other than that nothing at all |
