These cars are awesome for gas mileage. Very reliable, minimal maintenance. Easy to work on and parts are plentiful. Make sure your life insurance is paid up before driving one though. If you are unlucky enough to get into a frontal collision, it's game over. Also, these cars are notorious for frame horn rusting. This effectively ends the cars service life since the control arm (A arm) bolts to it. When the rust has had it's effect, the control arm breaks free of the chassis which results in the CV axle breaking and loss of steering, thus rendering the car inoperable. If this happens at a high speed such as interstate travel, you are going to be at a complete loss of control. Check these areas of the frame for rust if you decide to buy one of these! Hmmmm what do I love about my geo... its amazing on gas hasn't needed a whole lot of repairs...not so much on performance, its got no balls what so ever. This car is a blast to drive, its got a 5 spd and its great. Thanks for listening!
