1996 GMC Sierra 1500Review
Overall This Is A Nice Truck. — I like that this truck has a few projects for me to do on it, it will help me learn more about the inner workings of vehicles. I don't like what the guy I bought it from did with the headlights, they are connected directly to the battery, I have no low beams.
Pros: Drives great, smooth ride, good engine, great interior for the age.
Cons: Windshield is cracked, blower doesn't work, I have no low beams, brakes need bleeding.

It Is My Baby, It Has Not Failed Me Yet. — It has about 161k miles on the original transmission and engine (never rebuilt) and is still going strong. The inside cargo room is better than any other maker at the time. The back seat room is also the largest of the them.
Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.)
Pros: It has treated me very good. I have owned it for about 4 yrs started with 124k miles now its 161k miles. Only things I have had to replace other than maintenance Items (tires, battery etc.) have been the wheel hub assembly $150, fuel pump $230, and water pump $50.
Cons: It has the common Chevy/GMC problems. Tailgate handle, sagging doors due to bushings going out.

The Good Is I'm Glad I Got It — The truck has beejn a real good truck besides the drivers door . the truck has 275000 miles now and runs like the day I BOUGHT IT. I retired the last truck after 375000 and the guy that bought it is still driving it today and I plan on going to 400000 on this one. taking care of it is the big job. the last big load was 129000 lbs. and I would not do that again.
Pros: real dependable
Cons: drivers door

My Truck — The GMC Sierra's performance will actually suprise you. It has awesome acceleration, suprising handling, and not so good braking. It is a reliable vehicle; has 207500 and im have my first problem. It is fun to drive b/c you can keep it on street or kick into a field and have some fun.
Pros: pickem up truck
Cons: gas mileage

My Truck — best vehicle I have ever owned.I had owned three total bombs before this truck and if you've known me long enough this truck is such a step up from the other three it's breathtaking. It's beautiful , powerful , durable and the best color for keeping a vehicle clean with very little effort.White
Cons: makes me want to drive it all the time therefore costing me gas

A Nice Truck That Gets Decent Gas Mileage — It not super fast, but it gets like 22 on the highway. Its got a 4/4 drop, and that improved handling, so i'd recommend that. It's a good little hauler for just about anything, and it's built like a tank.
Pros: 22 mpg on the highway, looks sharp, built well
Cons: can be noisy, seat doesnt recline

Great Truck, Been Through Hell And Back And Still Purrs Like A Kitten — The previous owner was using it as a work truck, and to tow things. It has had the transmission replaced, i put a flowmaster40 seris exhaust, I also had tint 5% tint put on both side and back window with the addition of a 6in. strip on the top of my front window.
Pros: alot of horsepower for a stock engine, solid build
Cons: not good on wet roads
