Work In Progress — Well I bought this truck for 1800. It was running rough, so I bought the book and did a tuneup to find out he had the wires going to the wrong place. Fixed that and it ran like a champ. I want to start working on this for a toy since we just bought an Excursion. Still haven't decided if I want to sell it since I am a ford guy, but I do like the blazer and Camaro..

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: 4x4

Cons: not keeping charge as of dec 13

Ill Never Get Rid Of It — good ol 350 never dies 210 k on it and runs stops and handles great. 4x4 is a beast. ive yet to get stuck with it. built to last original leather seats are still perfect, paint had some clear coat issues but no problems to me. i average around 16 mpg. heck yeah its fun to drive.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: everything

Cons: nothing

Idk — performance - runs good, might need new brakes build guality - needed new engine. brakes are squeaky apperance - original but fits fine with what i like cost of ownership - has pretty good gas mileage. my brother said he was able to come back from sioux falls with a quarter of that gas fun factor- fun to drive

Pros: idk

Cons: idk

Chevrolet Trucks...like A Rock — My dad bought it new at Lafferty Chevrolet in Warminster, PA, and loved it, but it had a few minor issues and his main reason for trading it in on the 1996 Pathfinder was that it was a two door and getting hard for his growing son (me) to access the backseat.

Pros: Beautiful styling, go-anywhere capabilities, good fuel economy for an SUV

Cons: no airbags, the fact that I can not locate a decent 2-door S-Blazer for sale, and the fact that my dad sold the one we had in the first place!

Great Truck...very Reliable —

This is the actual Blazer, not the s10 small version. Based on the C/K GMT400 truck platform. They made them from 92-94 like this, then changed the name to "Tahoe" and came out with a 4 door version as well. For having 210,000 miles on it now, I think it's held up pretty well to the abuse that's been thrown at it...and all the New England winters. Has decent power, handles pretty nice with Bilstein shocks and load levelers added to the rear springs. It's just the right size...easy to park, not that long overall. Yet has a lot of room inside for your things and isn't cramped. Upholstery holds up well...my headliner is starting to come loose in a few spots though, where someone bumped stuff into it and ripped it. Very easy truck to maintain and work on...I've done most of my own maintenance...doesn't take rocket science. I've done things from tune ups to soldering in little bulbs inside my AC controls. Wasn't hard. I'd say this truck is defintely as reliable as a Toyota of a comprable year and mileage, yet costs less to maintain if something breaks. I wish the IFS design was easier to install a lift kit with. It has decent ground clearance as it is but it would be nice to have some options. It's EXCELLENT in the snow. Even if it ever skids, you know what it's gonna do and you can correct it instantly.

Pros: To the untrained eye, looks the same as a 99 Tahoe 2dr on the outside.  Easy to park.  Handles great in the snow

Cons: Gas mileage (13-16 average), tires are expensive to replace for this size, IFS costs more to lift than SFA

Louder Than You Can Handle, And Never Been Stuck. — Wheels, does burn outs, is loud, bumps music, and looks good with mud, snow, sand, or nothing on it.

Pros: Loud, big, powerful, and red

Cons: same as pros
