1993 Chevrolet Blazer Reviews, Pricing & Specs

Well I bought this truck for 1800. It was running rough, so I bought the book and did a tuneup to find out he had the wires going to the wrong place. Fixed that and it ran like a champ. I want to start working on this for a toy since we just bought an Excursion. Still haven't decided if I want to sell it since I am a ford guy, but I do like the blazer and Camaro..Dec 22, 2013

It's fun to drive. A basic Blazer that needs TLC, and is actually a work in progress. My Blazer is a solid truck. I love having the 5.7L V8 at my foot. The gas mileage may suck, but oh well. In the end it's so much cheaper than driving the G6 I had. No car payments and insurance is so much cheaper. So the cost of driving it is less. Not to mention, she fits my style.Dec 08, 2010

This is the actual Blazer, not the s10 small version. Based on the C/K GMT400 truck platform. They made them from 92-94 like this, then changed the name to "Tahoe" and came out with a 4 door version as well. For having 210,000 miles on it now, I think it's held up pretty well to the abuse that's been thrown at it...and all the New England winters. Has decent power, handles pretty nice with Bilstein shocks and load levelers added to the rear springs. It's just the right size...easy to park, not that long overall. Yet has a lot of room inside for your things and isn't cramped. Upholstery holds up well...my headliner is starting to come loose in a few spots though, where someone bumped stuff into it and ripped it. Very easy truck to maintain and work on...I've done most of my own maintenance...doesn't take rocket science. I've done things from tune ups to soldering in little bulbs inside my AC controls. Wasn't hard. I'd say this truck is defintely as reliable as a Toyota of a comprable year and mileage, yet costs less to maintain if something breaks. I wish the IFS design was easier to install a lift kit with. It has decent ground clearance as it is but it would be nice to have some options. It's EXCELLENT in the snow. Even if it ever skids, you know what it's gonna do and you can correct it instantly.Jan 05, 2008
