1991 Jaguar XJ-Series XJS Coupe RWDReview

Ok, But I Prefer German Engineering — OK, but the V12 could use a proper 4 or 5 speed tranny either it be an auto or manual. The climate control is sub par in engineering design. Also be sure you replace fuel rail short hoses, when they fail you'll sure to get a leak then an ENGINE FIRE. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: Great looking GT European car for an affordable price. Cons: Changing out the transmission filter is a pain on the GM THM400 because of the coil supported mount covers the two rear pan bolts. Also the THM400 are known to get rear seal leaks so it's worth it to replace when having the mount off. |

1991 Jaguar XJ-Series XJ6 Vanden Plas Sedan RWDReview

Daimler Six 4.0 (also Known As A Jaguar Vanden Plas Sedan In The States) — Lashings of classic Daimler/Jaguar style! Just driving it gave a great sense of occasion, it was luxurious with Ivory (white/cream) leather piped black, shiny black exterior, chrome everywhere, and walnut (including walnut picnic tables in the back!) everything i love about british cars really! Picture a beautiful summers day, sunshine roof open, shades on, pulling up outside a country pub, and having a glass of pimms! Thats what they were meant for (Total dreamer!) Pros: Style, Chrome, Ivory Leather & Lashings of Walnut! Cons: Silly mistake really! Why do I keep buying cars designed for the retired golfing brigade? |

Owned Nov - Dec 2007 — Classic britsh car, leather interior, wood trim, chrome etc. Silky smooth 3.2 litre strait six engine and auto box, superb riding and handling car. Very comfy seats. Problems with build quality are evedident particually as regards the body work as they are prone to rusting (mine wasn't too bad). Poor electrics are a problem too with a few things not working and various bulbs blowing. Fuel economy is appalling 15 - 20 mpg! Pros: Look's, classic british car, comfort. Cons: Poor build quality, dodgey electrics, fuel economy |
