how do you tell an Si model v tech?
I have just bought a 1991v tech prelude..silver with vtech writing on the side and sunroof..is this an Si model? cheers

its damn near impossible to find a prelude that year let alone find one running, sleek design, pop up headlights, screams out 1990's and that's what ppl like about them, very desireable and I will never sell it no matter whatNov 14, 2013

Powerful and great handling machine. Mileage is great. Love the sunroof. I have an unrusted out model which is very unusual in the Midwest. There aren't too many of them around any more around here. Bought from a younger owner that put headers and a performance muffler on it. I do get looks from younger kids.Sep 26, 2010

Excellent quick steering/handling, not super fast though. Build quailty/features typical high Honda standards. Competes in local motorkhana with some success. Cheap on petrol, comfy interior, good on the highway. sigh 40 word limit fail omg omg... omg... >.< word.Sep 30, 2009

Great little ricer. Its pretty old now but it ran really well for a long time. Handling is incredible (except in snow). Acceleration is good if you know how to handle your RPMs. Interior is tight but the front seats are very comfortable. The rear seats are a bad joke. Great car!Sep 13, 2009

i love my prelude. quick, good looking... bullet proof. Moonroof is gargantuan. and... no payments. :) Performance, for 140hp is pretty damn good. Fuel economy is around 20mpg. Not quite as good as i was expecting, but i do all city driving.Jul 14, 2009

I trade in a newer boring car for this one. It was a manual and a lot of fun to drive, especially in 3rd. I upgraded the wheels, tires, and suspension with 2001 equipment and wow! I like the more angular look of the older models than the 1992+ models.Jan 03, 2009

GREAT Car. Wish there was more aftermarket support for this char. There have been some GREAT builders of these cars and they have all done great things on track. They handle like their on rails. And they are aggressive looking yet not to standoutish.

This was my first "nice" car... meaning "newer-ish" and in great shape. I had this car when I enlisted into the USCG. I remember I liked this car a lot; it was loaded... it had a sunroof and cruise control which were firsts for me at that time. It was sporty, fun and got pretty good gas mileage. It never gave me problems and ran like a top. Unfortunately, somebody in Coconut Grove (near Miami), FL liked it more than me because they stole it!! Yep, I came back from watching a movie to an empty parking space with nothing but broken glass on the ground. I was shocked and in disbelief! They eventually found it setting on its frame and I got it fixed but the work was they did was horrible so I got rid of it soon after that.Aug 28, 2008

It is a very deribale car it can take a beating. the b21 motor that i have in my car doesnt really have much on top end but they do have the torch to get up and go. the motors are beast i have tried more than once to blow up the motor but it keeps on kicking. there is not a lot of aftermarket parts for this model if your going to get a prelude try to get a newer model they are easier to find parts and aftermarket products for.May 15, 2008

This is my '91 Prelude Si. It's my baby, and I love it to death. Nothing too extreme done to it YET, but its got a modified intake, aftermarket exhaust, wheels, tires, clutch, coilover suspension, and a newly rebuilt engine. This was my first car ever and I still have it today. I love this car but it is showing its age. I have 104,000 on it I got it when it had 49,959 on it so i put over 50,000 miles on it. I have put not much money into it usually 200 buck give or take plus oil changes and inspections, besides a accident, except in the past year i lhave put about 800 bucks or so after I have been waiting on my new car to be built. Honda Prelude 1991 rear brakes binding when rear steering turned to left
I have a 1991 Honda Prelude with rear steering, when I turn the steering wheel to the left ( while driving) the right rear brake grinds in a repetitive manner ( once a revolution) then disappears when I straighten up i've checked underneath and cant see anything catching, any suggestions??? Brakes are fine Ive wire brushed around the calipers etc (Help)
