1990 Dodge RAM 150 Reviews, Pricing & Specs
What owners say
"Owners generally appreciate the 1990 Dodge RAM 150 for its power, reliability, and fun driving experience. Many drivers enjoy the strong performance and fuel economy, especially from the 318 V8 engine. However, some express concerns about rust issues and overall build quality, particularly with the interior and maintenance needs."
best 2WD i have ever owned. The 318 CID V8 is always ready to run all the time. the cost is minimal and parts are easily available at any parts house. i get about 22mpg on the highway and 18mpg city.
January 4, 2010long lasting engine, very reliable, convenient having a truck, love driving it, easy maintenance, easy to drive, reasonable fuel mileage/cost, pretty basic looks (straight panels, nice body lines, easy to change its cosmetic looks to look older or newer.
July 23, 2009I had a 1989, but for some reason they dont have that year on here. Engine is reliable, as is drivetrain. However I did destroy a transmission by overrevving it on the interstate, the 4spd is not meant for more than 65 mph. But with the old dodges, you are able to get parts from many different years. I changed my 4spd out to one from a 1979 ramcharger 4spd. Transfercases however are different.

December 5, 2007Performance- power, braking, handling Build Quality- not very good well its tough Appearance- interior its very messy, exterior its kinda rusty Cost of Ownership- jus gas and maintenance Fun Factor- this truck is very fun to drive has alot of power
December 15, 2008I got mine for 500 bucks. I put in a super coil, A tune up and Put on some 15" fats in the back. Runs good! Great power. Normal Braking. Nothing wrong but a little rust above the left wheel well. I have 2 12" MTX subs with a 1200 watt alpine amp. Pioneer radio. New Carpet. Not bad on gas. Really fun to drive and can spin tires very nice.
September 17, 2009It's a good robust truck, but it has several issues. (several is an understatement.) But, for me, it's probably because of lack of maintenance from previous owners.
June 22, 2008its a 5 speed so it has great get up and go it can pull any thing and haul anything you want it to. Its built like a tank this thing is a beast. th interior is in great shape the extertior is'nt bad normal rust over bed wells. Its not that bad fuel wise. OHHH and is the truck ever fun! it may be 2 wheeled drive but she can go through anything ya want her to.
