Well other than the Quad 4 being a maintenance hog it is a fun little car. If you can get that little motor tuned up these cars are really fun to drive and are good on gas while doing it. Driving hard it does about 32 mpg and it is not even close to running as clean as it should. Plus the Quad 4 is getting harder to find. May 05, 2013

It's pretty good, it has the Z51 suspension package, so it handles well... low miles too. Alright performance for an older car. Good on gas and the like. The clear coat is peeling off so I have to buff that junk off of it. But all in all, it's good.Oct 01, 2010

Great car. Lots of mods to this GT. Acceleration is good, braking could be upgraded, handling is great. This has new engine. 145,000 on the last engine. A 19teen year old car it does need all need supenison upgarde. I think it looks great inside and out. Cost of ownership has been pretty low concidering the new engine. Very fun to drive!Jan 17, 2010

It sounds like a beast. The speakers blast really loud without fuzz. There is minimal rust.It has 135 horsepower and 180 ft. lbs. torque. But, the tranny leaks, there's no interior, the parts are hard to find, and don't try to convert a regular Beretta into a Z26.Sep 09, 2009

This is my first car. When I bought the car it had the normal GT kit which really wasn't different from a base model except it had the GT rims. It currently has most of a GTZ body kit on it and has a set of black GTZ rims. The car comes with the 3.1L 5 speed which is known for its low end torque. The thing I always loved about this car is the sound of the muffler. When you drive beside the center median on a highway with the window down it sounds just like the incar cam in a nascar or the rumble when idling.
Car has never given me the problems that my GTZ has in terms of engine break downs.
I have replaced the thermostat, ICM, oil pump, fuel pump, ECM and some other stuff.Mar 16, 2009

My first car was a 1990 Beretta GT and from that point on I was hooked on Beretta's. I found this at a used car lot in Chemainus B.C. and it was way over priced. Car was in great shape. I have taken it to two Beretta Fests and won Best of Beretta fest in 2006. It has the Quad 4 engine with a 5 speed manual trany. For the weight of the car and with no performance modifications it does quite well. It's well built. I love the GTZ kit and the fact that its lowered.
I have bought a set of MSR 190 rims for it which you can see in one of the pictures. It had a decent sound system in it but I have taken it out.
I have had an ongoing problem that started developing a year or two after I bought it. The problem is after 15 min of running the timing chain starts rattling within the timing case. I have replaced the tensioner and timing chain and gears, oil pump and check valve in the head. The problem was still there. Currently the engine is out of the car waiting to be rebuilt.
Its decent on gas and regular oil changes are all it needs.
The car is certainly fun to drive as its a 5 speed with a 180 hp engine plus its lowered.Mar 16, 2009

I am 2nd owner. Bought it dirt cheap as a beater for $600 off yahoo auctions one day when I was bored at work. I fixed it and learned a lot hands on with it. It compliments my other Beretta. Very efficient 4 cylinder engine that gets 34mpg on highway..will do 140mph top speed. Very Good handling. Original Garnet red paint is gorgeous in the sun. Stock exterior with a few NOS parts. W41 cams, transmisson gears w/LSD which are factory Oldsmobile rocket parts, Koni yellow adjustables, Addco rear bar. Larger front brakes. Urethane suspension inserts all in front. Only year for non SRS, one of 2 years without ABS...extra leg and foot room with this 1 year only interiorMar 11, 2009

Bought it after it ate a dump truck, so it was pretty mangled, but I just wanted to pull the tranny. Although I did ride in it a couple of time, it seemed like a nice little car.Apr 13, 2008

well I got this car for like $600, but the motor was shot, hence the low price.
the outward appearance was already done when I purchased the vehicle
Put maybe like $6000 into the motor and transmissionDec 25, 2007
