Daily Classic — I love driving this powerful, reliable, cooll looking Mercedes Benz 560 SL roadster. It is already more than 20 years old, but still rides like an 5 year old car with only 50,000 miles on it. I will buy another one and keep it

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Great, driveable classic

Cons: none

Classic Roadster. There's A Reason The R107 Was The Longest Running Body Style For Mercedes Benz — Many modern cars can out perform the R107 family of roadsters but, none quite have the star appeal and appearance of old money that the R107 roadsters brought to Mercedes. This 1989 Mercedes Benz 560 SL is 19 years old, but for a car of that age it had many amazing features including a standard airbag, both hard and soft tops, and many other desirable features. Over all the power was strong for a car from the 1980’s it had a 227 hp 5.6 liter V8 power plant that had a top speed of 137 miles per hour. Its 0-60 time was around 7.2 seconds. (Fairly impressive when you consider that it’s a fairly heavy car.) Sadly being 19 years old and a Mercedes products maintenance has become a problem and rather costly. Despite the short comings I truly love this car. It is fun to drive and turns heads where ever I go.

Pros: Hard Top/Soft Top. Air Bag. handles well. Decent acceleration. Eye candy. Fairly roomy interior. Power Windows. ABS. Safety Locks. Impressive Alarm system (when locked the car disables the fuel pump thus preventing hotwireing.)

Cons: Weak a/c. Costly maintenance. Large none telescopic steering wheel makes entrance into the car difficult.

1989 End Of The Line For Another Mb Roadster 5.6 Liter (560sl) Becoming A Collector Car... — MB can do no wrong in my opinion...Kept long enough in great shape, a 1989 560SL will pay you back...I'm sure as long as it's kept in superb condition...It will never be a Gullwing, but look at the 190/300/Pagodas etc... Keep it nice..it will pay you back-

Pros: Lovely driver and enough power to run with the best along the Interstates...

Cons: None really...classy hard/drop top when you wanted..

Classic Benz — I bought this car because I have always thought it was one of the best looking Benz's. It has always been garaged and has low mileage. Maintenance costs are reported high, but if it isn't used, this is not an issue. I drive it around enough to keep the fuel fresh and the battery charged.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Classic Looks

Cons: Fuel economy and maintenance costs
