1989 Jeep Cherokee Review

While it is definitely not a bad car, I would pick a Bronco II over it any day. The only advantage it has is it is more family oriented. vs1989 Ford Bronco II

Bob The Jeep — Poor engineering caused sensor meltdown frequently. Bob did look good on the tow truck. The engine start sensors were located too close to the exhaust manifold and apparently could not be moved. They burned up frequently. I guess I should have known -- lost the tranny in Nevada on the first trip. Primary Use: Family transportation Pros: Powerful engine Cons: Sensors in the worst possible places |

Great Truck. Cheap And Easy To Maintain. Get One Above 1990. — Great Performance. Tough Engine but bad center of gravity. Flips easy. Has ABS Problems and costs too much to repair. Has a Closed Style cooling system from 1987-1990. Terrible idea and likes to overheat if a air pocket gets in. Fun to drive and has a great look. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Great Look for a SUV and very tough. Cons: Early ABS is terrible and hard to work on. Closed Style Cooling system is terrible. |
