The Best Vehicle Mitsubishi Ever Built For Dodge! — Basically, my truck is a SWB Mitsubishi Montero, known in other areas of the world as a Mitsubishi Pajero or Shogun. Mine is equipped with a 3.0L V6 (6G72) SOHC and a 5-speed manual transmission. It's actually a pretty decent city truck, easy to manouver with its short wheelbase. Highway is a different story, as the 4.625:1 final gear ratio leaves the motor sitting pretty high on the tach. A result of this gearing is poor fuel mileage (about 350km on an 80L tank). This truck is insane off-road. Again, the gearing helps, as well as the short wheelbase (shorter than a Cherokee, Longer than a TJ). It came equipped with 5 STEEL (not plastic) skid plates (all of which have been used at least once), and it is pretty lightweight. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: Off-road ability Cons: A pig on fuel |
