Safe, Reliable, Feature Packed, Well Ahead Of Its Time, Quality. — My 88 760 GLE has heated electric seats, climate control a/c, 2 way electric sunroof, power windows, mirrors, aerial, central locks, and does not rust. Excellent Value, Can't fault it and yes things break down but hey its 21 years old. GET OVER IT. Primary Use: Family transportation Pros: Safety and Value for Money Cons: Getting harder to get parts |

Alex's 760 — The car has upgraded pads and rotors, springs, shocks, bushes. The interior was changed from tan leather 760 seats and door cards too grey leather 940T seats and door cards, with the pillars either retrimmed or repainted. It isn't the fastest car yet, but it still need a manual box and a 24V PRV motor put in. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: Mine, handles well, comfy cruiser Cons: No turbo. |

Dependable Sturdy Car — I bought this car about 4 years ago as a winter beater . This car always starts , even when it is -30 outside . The price was right ( $500) and with the 4 cyl turbo , it has the power to get going , as well as good fuel economy . The fact that most everything works is a bonus and I can park it anywhere without worrying about it getting stolen or broken into ! The fun part is it looks slow.....but really can go when needed (168hp ) I like seeing the looks on peoples faces after they get blown away by a Volvo , esp the kids in "moms" car. With 365000km this car still has life left in it. As long as you keep up on regular maintenance , this car will keep going . I like to use synthetic oil , as it provides superior lubrication in cold weather and is just plain better then regular oils. Owner for 4 years, 0 months Miles Driven per Year:7,000 |

An Opportunity Missed For Many! — A bit of a barge! It can be hustled fairly quickly through country A & B roads, turbo pulls well, and gearbox is smooth. Very much like an arm chair, with heated black leather seats. Very well put together, can see where Volvo gets the average lifespan of 21 yrs! Styled with a set square & ruler, but lashings of chrome! Parts are very expensive, and it only runs on Super Unleaded, which is expensive, around town around 20 to 22 mpg, on a run it seems to do 28+mpg so not so bad. Pros: Do a 1,000 miles and not realise it! Cons: Set square design and caravaners love of them! |
