Great Car For Restoration And Modification If You Can Find It. — I loved this car! Got a reputation around town because then (in the 1990's) didn't see many of these styles in Washington DC. Unfortunately had a head on collision with a Nissan and my car was totaled - but it saved my life! Pros: Great little car - was easy on gas and very easy to park. Reasonable engine power and had to watch my speed, excellent handling on snow and wet pavement. Parking in the city was a breeze. Could squeeze into spaces that others just wouldn't think of trying. Cons: Recalls on rear suspension system ![]() Looking for a Used GL in your area?CarGurus has thousands of nationwide listings and the tools to find you a great deal. |

It Fulfilled The Need For Transportation That I Had At The Time. — Overall, I was pretty happy with this car. It was a 2WD wagon and had the electronic instruments and trip computer. It was, for the most part, reliable and got pretty good fuel mileage. About the only issue that I had with it was the fact that you pretty much had to use premium fuel, even though the owner's manual didn't specify it. Using regular, the engine would knock like crazy. Primary Use: Family transportation Pros: inexpensive and fairly reliable Cons: needed premium fuel to run properly |
