Junk Box — I purchased my '85 Laser for $300 in the Spring of 1993. It last me ten days before the tranny blew out on the manual transmission. I towed it home and sold it for $500 in less then a week. It was fun for the few days I had it but since the hatch slopes down in the back so low I couldn't seat all of my friends with ease which for some of the guy's that was good since they had girl's laying across their laps. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: Sporty looking and near impossible to find now on the road. Cons: Notorious for transmission problems. ![]() Looking for a Used Laser in your area?CarGurus has thousands of nationwide listings and the tools to find you a great deal. |

Its A Good, Tough Little Car. — Its almost 25 years old, and has over a quarter million miles on it. The car itself wasn't made to be fast, but more for looks. It gets decent gas mileage, and is actually a pretty fun car to drive really! Yeah it rattles and is slow for speed, but people look at you because you have a rare car. Primary Use: Commuting to work Pros: Looks, classic Cons: Speed |
