Great Car For Everybody — I like the ride of this car. You can drive all day long and you won't get tired, unlike most other cars that make me tires after a couple of hours. I take it for long distance trips everywhere I go.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Very good ride, good for long distance trips

Cons: eats gas

Great Looks And Comfortable Ride — Love my fifth, great cruiser. This summer the old 318 is coming out and a 5.7 hemi is going in. I want to drive the car long distance. I cant get rid of the car it is in such good shape. Last year duals went on it and 235/60 Firestone Indy 500 tires went on it. That really set the look off.

Pros: it just cruises so well

Cons: none

Sure Like My Chrysler 5th Ave In The Past And Now In The Present — For the money great ride, appearance, performance was great with both the slant six and the 318 I owned both models one time. Only neg. was vibration in brakes even after rotors were changed and 20 to 30,000 kms later. One big complaint was the fast wear of interior at the door posts overhead and both sides of windshield. But My memories are still enjoyable enough I consider I am lucky to just purchase another with only 60,000 kms in original condition. compare to todays cars thisone rides like a top-of-the line Chesterfield (Sofa) with wheels.

Pros: Performance, Style, Quality and fun to own even happy with  fuel  close to 20 mpg driving approx 90 to 100 kph

Cons: Interior around the door posts and both sides of windshield

Gift From Grandpa — I needed a car and it got me where I had to go... so, it was reliable, until one the A arms almost came off while I was driving.

Pros: good on gas

Cons: not recommended for long trips...

1985 Chrysler Fifth Avenue Base Review
GuruYVMZJ says:
I drive this car every day with the exception of severe snow conditions here in Vermont, where it is nor manageable even with good tires and 200 lbs of sand bags in the trunk I just passed 150,000 mostly trouble free miles and the car is rust free. The interior does not wear well at the A pillars where the fabric is pulling loose and the headliner which started to sag.. get about 19 mpg average but can transport five people and their luggage if needed. Sadly I cannot get the old AC re-charged, it used to work well but a conversion is too expensive. Between this comfortable cruiser and my 4-wheel drive 2001 VW Passat I am set for life (I am 72 years old). Should you find an old decent 5th Avenue, get it and enjoy a grea tcar for very little money!

"Probably just the car I had - it was not as well maintained as my 1985"
