I have a 1985 Chevy S-10 pickup, V6, no-tilt steering column, 4 speed floor shift. I get NO starter engagement on turning the key. The turn signals and backup lamps do NOT light up with key in the RUN position. I am preparing to replace the ignition switch, but I cannot find any description in manuals or online, YouTube. Please help with clear details, maybe pics, for a DIY "shadetree" mechanic.
It won't have spark from fuse box to ignition switch. I put in new ignition switch but it didn't work.
I felt like my 1985 4x4 Chevy S10 was riding a bit low on the front end so I went to check the torsion keys. The torsion keys are turned exact opposite of each other(one bolt is really far out and one is all the way in). My passenger side tire got replaced with my spare at the same time because its wearing hard to the outside. I checked the control arm bushings and they seem fine. My mechanical advisor says that it sounds like my torsion bar is worn out, but the truck has 90k miles. I believe him but I can't find anywhere to buy torsion bars to replace my old ones. Any advice is welcome
Can I safely tow a 1985 S-10 V-6 with automatic transmission behind my RV
I have a 1985 Chevy s10 blazer & the issue is that the right turn signal light on the inside doesn't make a sound & doesn't come on & on the outside both front & back right turn signals doesn't work. Can it be the bulbs or the fuse?? & how can I fix it?? A mechanic is my last choice.
