They Dont Make Them Like This Anymore — Very strong car. 315 horsepower. Spun the tires with ease. Spacious. A lot of room to work in the motor. Long car. Not the best turning ratio. Not the best gas mileage. Will last forever. Cheap parts. Good cruiser or beater. Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: Very fast Cons: Overheating ![]() Looking for a Used Caprice in your area?CarGurus has 81 nationwide Caprice listings starting at $7,500. |

1984 Chevrolet Caprice Classic Wagon RWDReview

Estate Wagon — when i needed to get rid of the crappy delta88 i traded it for this ESTATE WAGON. the car was in really nice shape, only someone had swapped out the chevy 305 and put a olds 5.7 diesel in. i had the custom cruiser diesel and so i didnät worry about it but this one was a complete junk. i had to use starter spray to get it fired up and when it ran it spilled all of it's oil on itself. it came out of the breathers and everywhere. the engine was so bad it wasn't worth overhauling. i was supposed to get 305 or 307 for it but then i met a guy who wanted a challenge with olds 5.7 diesel and sold it :D Pros: everything but the engine Cons: busted 5.7 diesel |

The American Dream — Caprice Classic ... 5 Ltr V8 .. what old school dreams are made off wouldnt change it for the world. how cars should still be built. not american muscle burn rubber stylee but a true cruiser. cheap as chips unless you live in the UK that is Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.) Pros: Its a tank ... everyone comes off worse Cons: its tongue as it seduces you |

Not My First Pick, But She's Proven Solid — She is old but she starts every time you turn the key. She has the 305 (5.0 liter) carbed V8 engine and the 700r4 tranny. Gets 17 mpg around town and carries my uncles wheel chair lift. Age is starting to show on her, but still solid mechanicals. Something to be said of a car still made of steel. A friend backed into her with a RAV4 and crushed the RAV's rear bumper and damaged a quarter panel but didn't even mark the paint on the Caprice. Primary Use: Family transportation Pros: Reliable large transportation Cons: Its a ghetto wagon |

One Of My Favorite Cars Of All Time — This is a fantastic car, although pretty plain by today's standards. But if you want to pick one up for $1000 and put a new drivetrain, suspension and stereo in the thing, its still phenomenally less expensive than what's out there, and its practically a new car at that point. Keep the oldies alive! :P Owner for 7 years, 0 months Miles Driven per Year:25,000 Pros: Very balances, spacious and powerful car. You can really throw your weight around in this baby... Cons: Big V8, hit the gas and you're spending cash. Although a well kept V6 model can be extremely fuel efficient. |

Good If You Want A Granny Car That Has A Lot Of Torqe. — When your sitting behind the wheel you feel like your sitting on a big comfy couch. The inside was huge! Probably the most comfotable car i've ever had. And don't let the granny apperance fool you the police packadge 327 that mine had was a nasty V-8. Pros: Extremely comfortable, with great power, and you never have to worry about getting into an accident cause this car is a tank. Cons: Eats up the gas, and the only ones you can get have too many miles on them, and need a rebuild. |
