The Rampage is a light duty utility vehicle, similar in style to the Ford Ranchero or the Chevrolet ElCamino. The Rampage is built on a stretched Dodge Omni / Plymouth Tourismo / Dodge Charger platform. It has a front engine / front wheel drive drivetrain. Mar 01, 2012

Easy to maintain, very reliable, Absolute blast to drive, Milage was very good considering the time period for when it was made. One of the most versitile vehicles I have ever owned. wish it would have been available for more years and made avaible with the turbo charged engine from the factory. I have since cured that problem, the vehicle now has between 300 to 350 HP, from a 2.2 ltr engine.Jan 05, 2011

right up always why buy anything but a dodge or

Fun car to drive, and good to haul lite loads. Downside is finding parts, and the shifter linkage pops loose sometimes. Will be great car/truck when I customize, and fix the linkage to stay on. Takes time and money.May 01, 2010

I love my ramgage, but it's got it's problems. it sat for four years in a garage and never even got started once. so I've replaced a lot of things including the head gasket. but overall, I would not change a thing about it.Oct 06, 2009

Always wanted one since I was a kid, found 2 at good price and built 2 out of it. Slapped a Shelby Charger front kit just for the look. Small box so its only good to go pick up part at the scrap yard =)) But the 2 seats make it a bad family pick up =((Aug 08, 2008

This truck is a hybrid of a small pickup and the from end of the Dodge
Charger. It gets great gas milage for being a small 4 cylinder and being
from the 80's. It could easily handle more then it's fair share of work,

Automakers will never come up with anything quite as awesome as the 1983 Dodge Rampage ever, ever again.
Limited to 3 years of production, this butt-ugly half-car-half-truck was the secret, dirty desire of guys everywhere. You could go to the beach with it. You could haul stuff. You can drive all over the damn country in it. You could deliver 200 pizzas at once every Friday to a high school in southern California. You can withstand extreme heat and extreme cold inside of a week. Screw air conditioning, we have windows we can roll down. You can sneak 4 buddies into the drive-in. You can *actually transport* 16 people: 4 in the cab and the rest in the back. You can lift it up onto the sidewalk with 3 friends. You can rebuild the engine cooling system with hand tools and water jugs. You can do anything, anytime, anywhere, with this... ugly piece of awesome crap.
