All Original 1982 Ford F-150 In Great Condition — Runs great, fairly practical (averages about 17 mpg), classic look, overall a great truck that can still hold it's own on the job with just a 2wd v6, would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a classic, practical truck that can still get the job done. Pros: completely original Cons: Can be tough to maneuver at times with the 8 ft. bed |

1982 Ford F-150 "ol' Red" — This old truck was my first truck i ever drove. it was a fun old truck. i would have no trouble driving it anywhere, if the timing hadnt jumped. but it is gone now, and i have a new truck. Pros: Very easy to fix, and pretty reliable old truck Cons: It was very beat up, and we had to replace the water pump. would not start one day, and we sprayed too much ether in it, and it caught on fire. put it out before too much damage happened, but timing chain jumped, and had to crush it. |

Great Truck, Don't Make Em Like This Anymore. — I have a 1982 F150 XL, no rust, straight 6 cyl., 4 speed trans with 62K original miles. The truck has been in the family since new. I wax it once a yr and wash about monthly. The truck starts first crank and has been very dependable. Insurance is cheap, gas mileage is not great, but overall cost of ownership is reasonable. The truck handles well, accelates good for a six banger, braking could be better. The oil is changed every 3,000 miles, but the truck has never been tuned up. The truck is fun to drive. I get many people offering to buy it if I ever want to sell it. Hope it last another 20 years that should about do me. Primary Use: Utility (towing boats, transporting cargo, etc.) Pros: Dependable, gets positive comments Cons: No power steering make it tough towing and launching the boat. |

82 F150 — This truck is one of the best i have owned. The motor dose seem kind of slugish when it is cold out but once the temp gets to about 35 it have much more power. It is a gas hog I'm lucky to get 8-9 MPG but I still love it. The body is starting to rust but it is cheap to repair from a junk yard or one of the catologs for it. Pros: good power, strong motor Cons: once the rust starts you cant stop it |

Good Motor But Highly Unreliable — The truck was very unreliable, had major defects in the paint and body, but the motor was very powerful for a I-6. I wouldnt reccommend the 2-wheel drive version , but the 4x4 version would make a good work truck if regularly maintained Pros: strong I-6 motor Cons: unreliable, sluggish performance, poor gas mileage, unpredictable manual parts (ex. tailgate, doors..etc.) |

It Got From A To B.... Most Of The Time.... — I bought this truck when I was in a bind for a vehicle. I only paid $250 for it, and you get what you pay for... Pros: It had 4 wheels and went somewhat straight down the road... Cons: I was lucky to get 7-8 to the gallon highway in it, the transmission was pretty much gone, the carb and choke were screwed up and I could never get it to idle without keeping a foot on the gas and babying it. |

My F-150 — I recently purchased my F-150 from my father who has owned it for the last 5 years. It is a 302, auto 4X4. It seems way under powered compared to my '95 Ram 1500 with a 318. I do like the stance it has sitting on 31X10.50s though. For a 72,000 mile truck I can't complain. |

I wanted heated seats, low miles (35K>), reasonably priced (~35K). It met those criteria. I compared it to a F150 Lariat - 1 year older, 37K miles and $42K - could not justify the increased price. Read More
