X-11 — It was an X-11 model. Yeah I know it's still a Citation, but some of us out there knew what they really were. The X-11 option was a race prepared option produced for the SCCA race series. Chevrolet made the cowl inductuion functional and even went as far as giving it a special water pump with teflon bearings to reduce resistance and produce a few extra HP. Chevrolet must have gotten it right because X-11's dominated thier class for several years. On a dry twisty road this car was a thrill to drive. It isn't as composed as my 944 when driven to the limit but will easily turn times as good if not better on a tight road course. To this day whenever I drive past a used car lot I can't help but search the back rows in hopes of finding another X-11.

Primary Use: Commuting to work

Pros: Belive it of not it had better 700' slalom times and higer skid pad rateings than a Corvette of the same year.

Cons: If it rained or snowed the rear brakes would lock up at anything over light braking

Don't Write Off The Citation! — It's ghetto fabulous, LOL. Honestly, I thought it wasn't a bad car for $500 bucks. I needed a car fast, and I found it on Craig's List. The body was solid, only a couple small spots of surface rust, which was pretty impressive for a car that was 25 years old in New England. It needs work, however, I had to have some work done within a couple weeks of getting the car to replace corroded pipes coming off the radiator with hoses. The pipes were just crumbling. Also had the brakes go, so those needed to be redone. I hadn't driven it much over the winter, as I carpooled to work with my boyfriend to save gas. Speaking of which, I didn't do too badly with the Citation there, either. I never calculated it exactly, but I figure I had to be getting somewhere around 25mpg.

Pros: Quirky.  Was this weird factory blue-green color that sparked several debates over what shade it actually is.

Cons: It's loud, still needs a lot of work, and with high gas prices, and two kids to drive around, I need a more reliable car.

Solid Transportation That Was Good Enough For Michelle Pfeiffer — My second car, the first I owned by myself. Very reliable cheap transportation. Not very sexy. Although, it was used in one of the batman movies by Michelle Pfeiffer. I was driving it when I met my wife. She must have loved me for my personality, not the car.

Pros: Cheap, easy to work on.

Cons: Not exactly a chick magnete
