Amazing Performance For The Money!! — Series 2 924 Turbo with the DITC management system. Wanted one of these to complement the Ford Capri I also own. The normally aspirated 924 has similar performance to the Ford, but the Turbo version is on a different planet performance wise and is in the supercar league, when new it was the fastest 4-cylinder car in the world! Still fast today & the performance above 120km/h on boost is ADDICTIVE. Fantastic long distance motorway car. Macho appearance but with sleekness thrown in.

Pros: Performance, handling balance, brakes, long lasting build quality

Cons: trying to find the Carrera GT intercooler that Porsche should have fitted from the begining!

Totally Worth 2000 — Not a rocket, but is glued to the road around corners. Had been sitting for a few years before i bought it so there was some rubber deteriation on the engine, as well as the fuel injection system was out of tune. Sounded cool, the previous owner put a stainless cat back made by dansk. Top speed was around 125. Was extremely fun to drive.

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: Corners

Cons: Age and previous care

Lots Of Fun But Not For Girls Or Very Serious People — Performance - It does 0-100 in 5 sec and handles anything you throw at it Build - What can you expect from a car designed in the '70s Appearance - I am working on it but the orange paint stands out Cost - very high fun - this car will ALWAYS put a smile on your face

Primary Use: Sport/fun (spirited driving, track racing, off-roading, etc.)

Pros: It is a whole lot of fun

Cons: IYou need a kidney and lung transplant after spending a day in it

A Car — Easy to work on the engine. You don't need a computer to fix it. Fun to drive with no gagets. the proformance for such an old car is very good. Is fun on track days as you can throw it around. It is cheap to buy and running cost are low.

Pros: will proble get another one

Great, Cheap, Fun Car. — This model was plagued by electrical problems and was powered by an audi engine. Had decent power to weight ratio, and was very well balanced. Overall, a very enjoyable vehicle, minus the electrical issues. I wish I still owned this one!

Pros: Light, Great suspension

Cons: Electrical problems, slightly underpowered for a Porsche

My First Car... By Sergei

The 924 has always been laughed at, and I really don't understand why. It's a lovely little car, a true sportscar and it's fun to drive it - especially on small country roads. Read More
