1971 Chevrolet Corvette Reviews, Pricing & Specs
Write a review
The exterior of the 1971 Chevrolet Corvette remained unchanged from the 1970 version. Many blamed the strike-shortened production time caused by a labor dispute in 1969. A Sunflower Yellow color was offered for the first time, perhaps a signal of bright skies ahead. Engines ranged from a small-block 350-ci rated at 270 horsepower to a 454-ci big-block rated at 425 horsepower. The small block-based RPO LT1 V8 was a popular option, generating 330 horsepower at 5600 rpm. This car went from 0 to 60 in 6 seconds, and was clock at about 14.5 for the quarter-mile.

1971 Corvette Stingray Value?
I have a 1971 Corvette Stingray that I inherited and want to sell. We just put some money in to have a new fuel pump put in and fix a leak. It seems to be in good running condition. I'm wondering what a reasonable asking price is? The interior is ok, original condition. Also, where is the best place to sell a Vintage car?
1971 Corvette 454 engine original?
two questions can you tell me where to find the stamped engine number that includes the partial VIN? A detailed answer with a picture would be appreciated. The cast engine number is 3955287GMT. B22 – 71 is also there. What does this mean? Could this be original to the car?
Should I be concerned about purchasing a 1971 corvette with 86,000 miles on original engine?
Engine has been professionally rebuilt and has 5,000 miles on it since rebuild.
