1970 Chevrolet Corvette Preview summaryImage

The 1970 Chevrolet Corvette was available with a number of different engines, including the first LT small-block (350-ci, 350 horsepower or 350-ci, 370-horsepower) and the increased big-block, now a 454ci, V8 monster capable of 460 horsepower.

The LT1 could go from 0 to 60 in 5.7 seconds, and covered the quarter mile in 14.17 seconds. Of course, the Corvette was beautiful on the outside as well as within, with a new "ice-cube-tray" grill. The gills were toned down a bit, and a few more colors were available, including Donnybrooke Green.

it is a fats car if the right things are done to the engine. the only way to have a corvette is to have a stick shift. just put the top down and just roll on douwn the road in styleJul 13, 2009

I love that it's old school muscle. I can drive it everywhere. It runs perfectly. It's great driving a car that is entirely mechanical, no computer chips. All you need are wrenches and a screw driver. Simple. This is the kind of car then when a guy drives it, every guy wants to be him. Everyone should have this kind of driving excitement in their lives at least once. And the low price to purchase will amaze you. Oct 01, 2008
