If All Else Fails Can Trunk Lock Cylinder Be Drilled Out?

i have tried all suggestions on here. i must have a bad fuse in trunk as well. If I drill lock cylinder out will I be able to open it? Please help at wits end on this car. 2003 clk430 cabriolet.
