acceleration is sluggish at first but only with mine as far as I know there is definately a kink in the cable, and if i accelerate too quickly it will stick the car will accelerate on its own over rev and almost blow the engine....other than that its and awesome car, not the best on gas mileage, looks clean inside and out, handles corners like a sports car. It has dents on both doors on one side of the car. The back door can only open from the inside not the outside. But i like how it is fairly quick to response. I dont like how big it is, im ready to downsize. The car is not fun to drive, maybe for family people but not for teens. The only things it has been taken in for were for cosemitic reasons. The two interior panels on both passenger sides have been torn off. It has over ninety six thousand miles on it and the gpa that it gets is around 26 miles per gallonDec 12, 2009

Owned this car about 4years - 2nd owner. I define the 2002 Ford Taurus as middle class luxury and a middle class price. It's a great car for the money. My Taurus has a few nice options like CD changer, moon roof, auto-on/off courtesy lights, driver's adjustable foot pedals, and the 24valve DOHC 3.0L Duratec V6 engine. One nice thing about the Taurus is that due to it's commonality on the streets you can easily find salvage parts if needed. Took advantage of this a couple of times when someone ran it over curbs and broke the wheels - easy to find in salvage yards Performance is good enough for a mid size sedan. Enough power to get onto freeways and pass with ease. Suspension works fine for moderately aggressive driving. Body and build quality seems good and the car does not rattle or squeak at 140Kmi. Repair problems and been acceptable up to around 120Kmi - Replaced three ignition coils at 80Kmi. Replaced A/C compressor at 90Kmi. Replaced water pump at 100kmi. 130Kmi - A/C evaporator sprang a small leak ; an expensive repair that requires removing the dashboard to get to the evaporator. Driver's seat leather developed some deterioration and tears.Dec 05, 2009

The Performance is average. Its not really made to race, its more of a family car. The build quality is great, everything works and is still running strong with only minor repairs. I love the appearance, its a very unique shape and very safe design. The gas mileage is good for a heavy 6 cylinder sedan, the maintenance is very regular. This car is not fun at all to drive. Its a cruiser, its made to get places comfortably not quickly. Sep 06, 2009

great for accelerating and braking. no problems handling just during the winter. my check engine light comes on and broken visor clip that the dealership said they would fix but "couldn't find the part." i like the white and black exterior look and gray tones interior. cheap car w/ a 15 gal tank. i love having a bigger car... Performance is ok, accelerates and brakes great, handles well, hasn't needed any repairs as yet, but has an electrical issue I need to have looked at, hopefully not too catastrophic, look pretty good, but I like sportier styles, no repairs so far but gas mileage is what you'd expect for a 6 cylindar (not great). It drives pretty good and it kicks ass in the snow, 10 times better than any car I have ever owned, Love that! I would reccomend this for a commuter car, not for a fun car. Dec 23, 2008

The acceleraton and braking are great, handles well, has some electical issues that I'm going to have checked out soon, hopefully nothing too catastrophic, looks ok, but could be sportier, gas mileage is what you'd expect for a 6 cylindar(not great), but this car has so far kicked ass in the snow, 10 times better than any car I have ever owned!
