1996 Ford Taurus Reviews
| “Bam Bam, My Baby!” Reviewing:
1996 Used Ford Taurus 4 Dr G Sedan
It's my first car, so she's my baby. For being 12 years old, she runs great. No big problems have arisen, and it gets great gas mileage. Maintenance is basic oil changes and checking tire pressure. I don't have to keep tabs on it. I love driving it. It's all purple leather interior, and it's gorgeous. The people before me took great care of her.
Pros —
It's purple! She runs great, and gets sweet mileage.
Cons —
No CD player.

| “Its Got A Good Color, Sporty Style, And A Good Ride.” Reviewing:
1996 Used Ford Taurus 4 Dr GL Sedan
It pretty solid and the engine shall last forever I have been told. It gets its problems here and there but they are usually quick fixes. I have put a cold air intake into it and a breather filter, it gives it a great sound and some quick performance. Was actually able to keep up with a Mustang Mach 1 with it.
Pros —
Color, my intake, my air breather, the sound fo a Vulcan engine roaring, its sporty style.
Cons —
Little stuff breaks easy, a few unknown errors here and there.

| “It A Sho Thing, You Wouldn't Understand” Reviewing:
1996 Used Ford Taurus 4 Dr SHO Sedan
I Love and hate my SHO at the same time. It is a fun car to own. For it's day it was far ahead of it's american competition but man it is a needy car. If you own one of these and do not have your cams welded you're screwed... If you own one of these you MUST have a transmission fund. And if you own one of these you know how big the smile on your face gets when you floor it and it goes like a raped ape....
Pros —
Roomy car, great handling, and it goes
Cons —
Needs constaint maintenance

| “Overall Good Car With Care” Reviewing:
1996 Used Ford Taurus 4 Dr LX Sedan
Pretty goood, not too bad looking. In my experience Fords need more tlc than others to keep them up to par, nothing different with this one. Had sufficient power the whole time we had it.
Pros —
Power, handling, space, comfort.
Cons —
Developed some major problems over the years.

| “'96, Ford Taurus, Automatic, Silver” Reviewing:
1996 Used Ford Taurus 4 Dr G Sedan
I had this car for alittle while, it had some computer problems that we spent $600 on and it was not even fixed, so that was that, the car went to a junk yard... Plus I locked my keys inside the car for few weeks.
Pros —
quiet, compfortable
Cons —
It didn't drive faster than 15 MPH, due to the acceleration issue, took me 2 hours to get home from Wolfboro.

Replaced the trany 3 times, if the key was in the ignition the interior dome light would alway stay on, the only way to get it to go off was to pull (and hold) the parking break leaver... "?!?"
Pros —

Cons —
Just about everything else.
