2004 Honda Accord Reviews

Ive had the car now for almost a year; and i have to say "WOW". Never ceases to amaze me. Ive literally beat the shit out of this car (which i would take back if i could) but it always makes it through.

First off: Acceleration is more than enough. 6 Speed Manual makes an easy near 6 second 0-60 stock. Dont dump the clutch to launch anywhere too low though or you just get DISGUSTING wheel hop, and anywhere to high and it just spins the tires in place (People have managed to overcome that with a tighter suspension/bigger rims though). Very minimal body roll for a notoriously FWD family car. Ive set cruise control around 130 and shook the wheel vigorously back and forth and the car stays planted. Rarely understeers in hard cornering, which is nice. Braking could [definitely] be better. Coming down from high speeds the car shakes [bad rotors] but plenty of people have the rotors replaced and the shake comes back after a while. Ive noticed this in Acura TL's as well.

No repairs needed besides any that ive caused. Jumped train tracks at 100 (i told u i beat the shit outta it) and needed new tie rods/ engine mounts. Also i managed to make the intake valves scratch between vtec stages (also fixed) but the car has never failed to run or perform up to par.

One thing to complain about is the window scratch. The 7th generation accords (this model) is notorious for hard/tight weatherstrips that scratch the window which isnt really too much of a problem until you tint the window. If you going to tint it, try using moleskin on the windows so they dont scratch.

Its gorgeous. Nobody has denied me that unless their joking hahah. Gas milage is also great when you need it. Drove back from florida with me and about 400lbs of stuff and averaged about 31mpg. Another time also i drove down to blackwood and back with 5 peolpe (totaling 800lbs) in the car and the air on the whole way plus windows cracked (sister gets carsick) and averaged 25mpg.

Overall its fun to drive and keeps up with more sportier cars like nothing. The accord is electronically limited at 135 mph [and has no problem getting to it], so dont try racing anything over that or it just wont be fair.

One of the best cars I have ever owned. With the navigation and V6 engine it is a complete vehicle. For a V6 engine, it runs on 22 MPG in city and 30+ MPG in highway. It is extremely agile and forgiving. No major problems so far, it has 55K miles on it so far.

A good dependable car with good fuel average. Has decent interior that was build using high quality materiel. A great car for everyday commute. Accords are low maintenance vehicles requiring oil changes every 5 thousand miles. The first major service is not required till 110000 miles or for more than 10 years of ownership!

Old car needed too much work. I paid well below the book value, was my mom's car for 3 years. Pretty good on gas, servicing has been for oil changes and to replace wear and tear parts, i.e. brakes. I think the car's a good drive and the car should last a while.

I love everything about my car. It gets great gas milage. And performs great. It accelerates fast, and brakes fast to, it handles well. The only thing I don't like about it is the road noise. And my car is so fun to drive, especially with the sunroof open. And I am considering trading my car in for the new 08 Honda Accord for my 18th birthday.
