2000 Ford Taurus Reviews

The Taurus was my first car, a little over a year
after I started driving I was in an accident in which
another person pushed me off the road up an embankment airborne into a tree. As you can see
from the pictures the car was an utter mess, the
officer and paramedics said that if I had been in
any other car other than a Taurus they don't know
if I would have lived.  My accident proves that the
Ford Taurus is one hell of a safe car.

Performance --> I can't complain, it wasn't going
to set any land speed records, or impress anyone
but it got the job done.  

Build Quality --> The car was as solid as a rock, it
could take anything thrown at it and it would have
no issues.

Appearance --> What can I say, it was pretty bland
but that is okay it could have been  hideous like a
Cavalier or something, but it wasn't.

Cost of Ownership --> It got about 33 mpg Hwy
and about 25 mpg city.   Maintenance wise there
was no issues what so ever.

Fun Factor --> What fun factor?

Overall --> I was pleased with my first car as it
was a safe and reliable ride.

I think it is a really good car. It has lots of room in both front and back seats. The seats are comfortable. The back seats fold down and you can carry long items in the trunk because of this back seat. The trunk is big, the ride is smooth. The cons are... the car is every where, the design hasn't changed from 2000-2007. (The 2008 version has no chrome.)

That it is rusting out and has alot of kilometres. Gas is not bad but should be able to go further on a tank of gas. I feel also that the shocks on the car are gone. It acclerates very good and it also handles very well. It has needed all 4 new tres and ball joints cost a pretty penny to. But the A/C still works I feel very well

Performance - slow acceleration, long braking distance, handles well in snow and bad weather
Build Quality - My particular car is in need of minor repairs (cosmetic), no engine problems at all, transmission problems
Appearance - Descent looking car, roomy exterior and plenty of leg room in the back
Cost - 16 gallon tank, and about 200 - 300 miles per tank . . . you do the math at today's prices
Fun - its only fun if you love to drive and don't have any other choice

Like the car for a wile then the check engian light got annoying
