It's the poor-man's 356. But no other car looks like it, and I get stopped by someone every time I drive it who says, "My (self, friend, cousin) had one of those back in college! I loved that car!" Usually followed by a road-trip story, or the "fond" memory of having to ride in the back seat!Nov 30, 2013

I like everything about car. Its so fun to drive. It's a blast from the past. Everyone that sees the car gives me the thumbs up! I may not be fast, but it's steady. I can't wait to get my Mangel wheels on!Mar 16, 2012

Loved these cars since being a nipper... always wanted one. Designed in the early 50's, VW just 'evolved' the look slightly over the years, rather than changing it abruptly. Never going to set the world alight on performance and was very expensive when originally on sale. All this means they're quite rare these days.May 09, 2008

It will repeat this action. It is accompanied by a noise from the speedo. I recently installed a new drive cable. Thank you for any info you can provide. Converting to throttle body injection
A friend of mine is looking to convert his 1970 KARMANN GHIA to a throttle body versus a carburetor. Does anyone have any links to a company that sales kits for this? Yes i do know all the variables to this, and he wants it to be non intrusive, so that it can easily be returned to factory state. Right now i have spent hours looking around for him but no matter the search engine i use is all i get is pages of unrelated hits. any help with this would be greatly appreciated. Chris
