CarGurus' 2007 Honda Civic Coupe Review

The Honda Civic Coupe is a true economy car, with its MSRP starting at just over $14,000. The low price combined with its reliability and practicality come together to make it the ideal choice for the first-time new-car buyer.

The base-model DX trim has plenty of worthwhile standard features: ABS, air bags, power steering, daytime running lights, power windows, a rear window defroster, and active head restraints. It even has a rear spoiler, which the style-minded driver will appreciate.

The LX trim adds air conditioning with filtration, power locks, and a CD player, and the EX trim adds an extra bit of style with a one-touch power moonroof and a chrome exhaut finisher, plus exterior temperature indicator and steering wheel-mounted controls for audio and cruise.

The Civic performed well in NHTSA crash tests, scoring 5 stars in both the Driver and Passenger Frontal crash tests as well as the rear side test. It scored 4 stars in the rollover test and a mere 3 stars in the Front Side Crash test.

All trim levels are available in either 5-speed manual or automatic transmission. Buyers can choose from nine paint finishes.
