Averaging 34.2 mpg. Easy bluetooth connection to my phone. Great looking car and fun to drive. Remote start is a great feature. Coupe has plenty of legroom (Im 6-1). The only negative thing I can say is the car has some road noise. If I were in charge of this design team, I would give it a little more power without turbo and improve the stereo. Honda, bring back the coupe!

Comes nicely loaded, handles like a dream, with lots of power. Only thing I can say that I dislike is the chrome around the window, it doesnt fit in with the rest of the car. Only minor as far as Im concerned and its a preference thing for people.

Reviewers consistently praise its performance, style, gas mileage, handling, and power, and many describe it as fun to drive. The main tradeoffs mentioned are road noise, compact rear or cabin space for taller people, and a desire for a stronger sound system or more engine power. With 26.7% of listings marked as good or great deals, you still have some room to shop selectively.
Is the 2018 Honda Civic Coupe reliable?
Owners rate it 5/5, a strong signal of long-term satisfaction.
The review summary also points to a car that many owners find dependable and easy to live with over time, especially when it comes to everyday driving and fuel economy. For used buyers, the main long-term ownership risk is less about broad reliability concerns and more about finding a well-kept example that has not been worn down by age, mileage, or prior damage.
What should I look for when buying a used 2018 Honda Civic Coupe?
At 50% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
You should run a vehicle history report before you commit, and you should prioritize any signs of prior collision repair, inconsistent panel gaps, or mismatched paint. A pre-purchase inspection is especially valuable here because condition can vary a lot from one listing to another. Focus on the car’s overall maintenance and cosmetic condition, not just the asking price.

What is the 2018 Honda Civic Coupe's resale value?
The current average of $17,126 sits slightly below last year's $17,857.
That softer pricing can help you buy more carefully now, but it also means future resale will depend heavily on how well the car is maintained and how clean its history is. If you buy a well-kept example at the right price, you may have a better chance of limiting depreciation when it is time to sell. Strong demand for this model year should help, but condition and history will matter a lot.
Vehicles with strong owner satisfaction ratings, like this model year's 5/5, tend to retain buyer demand, which supports resale value over time.
Should I buy a 2018 Honda Civic Coupe or consider a different year?
If you're weighing the 2018 against nearby model years, here's how to think about it:
Choose the 2018 if:
- 26.7% of listings are priced as good or great deals.
- At 50% accident-free, a meaningful share of listings has prior incidents — history verification is especially important.
- Price trend: Prices have softened 4.09% compared with last year.
- Owners rate it 5/5 — a strong satisfaction signal.
The bottom line:
If you want a coupe with strong owner satisfaction, solid pricing, and enough inventory to shop carefully, the 2018 is the primary path to consider. If you are especially price-sensitive, focus on the lower end of the range and be willing to compare condition closely across listings, since history and accident status vary meaningfully.
