CarGurus' 2004 Mercedes-Benz S600 Review
The Mercedes-Benz S600 got a minor face lift in 2004 that "freshened its styling around the edges." There were also upgrades to the car's navigation system, replacing the old, CD-Rom platform with a DVD platform which prevented switching discs when traveling from one region to another.
The S600 is the top-of-the-line S-Class model and as such, it comes complete with a 5.5 liter, 493 horsepower V12 engine offering thrust and acceleration "that feels like a 747 approaching rotation speed."
Some drivers were intimidated by the six dozen control switches in the S-600's cabin, and sport-minded drivers "can sometimes feel as if they're wrestling" with all the technology loaded into the car.
