CarGurus' 2000 BMW 328 Review
Following a complete overhaul for 3-Series sedans in the 1999 model year, there were few changes to the BMW 328 in 2000. 2000 would also mark the last year of production for the 328 before it received a new, 3.0 liter engine and was renamed the 330 in 2001.
The only other change was to the optional, five speed automatic transmission which included Steptronic control for the first time in 2000. Serious drivers still preferred BMW's standard, manual gear box.
The car "could use a little more space" but the 328 was remarkably "fuel efficient for a luxury car," according to drivers. Power and handling, as usual for BMW, topped the list in positive owner feedback.
