CarGurus' 2003 Infiniti G35 Review

The G35 hit the market for the first in 2003 as Infiniti's new entry level car.  The G35's first incarnation comes in 3 basic trim levels: Sedan, Sport Sedan, and Coupe.  Within those levels, 6 trims distinguish themselves based on their features and transmission: Base Sport Sedan, Sport Sedan w/ Leather, Sedan w/ Leather and 6 speed manual transmission (6MT), Coupe, Coupe w/ Leather, and Coupe w/ Leather and 6MT.  The trims that don't have 6MT have 5 speed automatic instead.  The Sedans use a 3.5 L, 260 hp V6 engine while the Coupes use a stronger 280 hp V6.

Gas mileage generally comes out to 20 mpg in the city and 27 on the highway.  Sedans have 4 doors and seat 5 while the coupes have 2 doors and seat 4.  All trims come with standard air conditioning, power windows, power door locks, cd player, ABS brakes, stability control, and traction control.  Cargo volume amounts to 7.8 cubic feet in the Coupes and 14.8 in the Sedans.

Overall, the G35 made an impressive debut according the critics.  The styling, handling, and strong powertrain get high grades.  Some drivers would like to see better gas mileage and better materials.  Regardless, if you want an affordable head-turner to show off around your block, the '03 Infiniti G35 just might fit the bill.
