It is common for "toy" cars to have a lot of owners. People use them for a summer and sell it. Another reason is the maintenance cost. Owner will sell instead of doing thousands in maintenance. 9 owners is a warning sign though. Stay far away

Yes... owners will sell the car before the 30, 40k, 50k and so on check-ups are due. There should be a paper trail. You want service records. To make sure you are not playing the "hot potato" game. For example, a car with 60K miles will be in need of a clutch. If the tell you clutch was replaced at 30K. Walk away..

Because it was owned by 9 people. Not unusual, but get a good PPI before you buy. I personally have owned more than 25 Porsches since 2002...

Will a Porsche dealer offering this car typically have service records? So far the only thing offered is the Carfax. I asked to be placed in contact with previous owner who traded car in for newer model.

If the Porsche Dealer does not have history of the car walk away. At times the Dealers - deal from a stacked deck. Telling you the car has a 180 point inspection, all is good. Well... I can walk around the car and give you a 360 inspection and tell you from what I see, "all is working well!" Talk about overstating the obvious !!! Cars require regular maintenance, Plus consumable items such as clutch, CV joints, brakes, rotors, alternator, hoses. If you don't have that history, you will get stuck with all the Req. Maintenance that should have benen paid for by previous owners. That's the game you are in... Demand history. My buyers want to know the history of my car prior to a sale. And, I am happy to share. If a DEALER has no idea, they are hiding or suppressing information to make a Sale! Omissions and Errors to Key Facts is fraudulent behavior. Remind Them!
